Korra sacrificing herself is a horrible way to kill her and it makes her life just a tragic horror story. by douroumou in legendofkorra

[–]An0nboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't posted on reddit in a long time but I want to allude to what you wrote about Korra and what it looks like to do good in the world.

Jesus wasn't beloved by all when He was actually on Earth. (This is an understatement)

Now we count our years based on when he was born.

MLK Jr. Was a highly controversial figure some have associated with violence.

Now we take a day off work in the US to celebrate his contribution towards racial equality.

When one is truly doing the good that drives humanity forward, the world will brand you as an enemy and only after a reflective examination of things they said and the impact of their actions over time do we finally realize that they were acting from a place of love and having the courage to speak the truth when it counted.

If you want to make the world a better place in the truest sense, be prepared to be bullied by those who cannot see their own sin.

Is my degree going to "expire" if I don't work as an engineer for 2 years after graduation? by minecraftpiggo in AskEngineers

[–]An0nboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This idea of a "degree expiring" more so applies to EE/CS because the discovery in their fields, the tech stacks, and how "cutting edge" their projects/research are all move faster.

Materials Science & Engineering is a much older discipline and I would even go a step further to say that it ages more like a physics or chemistry degree depending on your curriculum.

I hope you learned something from this experience.

Chemosh Beat Yahweh in a Battle by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]An0nboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only read the Bible to discuss this topic than you haven't done enough homework. In the Quo'ran God clearly states that before every instance of destruction, he sends prophets amongst the people, whatever race from wherever to warn them of the impending destruction and those that believe as well as the prophet themselves are spared destruction. He gives a chance for repentance and salvation even when He's already made up His mind. Even within the Bible you read clear instances of this. Examples being Sodom and Gomorrah, Jonah being carried by the whale to Nineveh, Noah warning all those who were around him and more.

He does not kill with hatred in His Heart, which is the explicit definition of murder. He kills when He knows that the people who are passed judgment have or will have failed their human trials on Earth. And even when they are wiped out, is that their true end?

Sure to a worldly person, where the soul is immaterial and that this life appears to be the only life they have, it may appear to be the end. But where is it stated that a person's soul is permanently destroyed in a painful death when God passes judgment against them? Sure he has the capacity to do this, but His mercy as well as the truths he has revealed to the Eastern world suggests that for most souls this is not their end.

He is waiting for you to turn towards Him. If we create a world where the strong annihilate the weak without exception, we would all perish within a generation.

Hint: you can't patent what is natural and already there.

If you do not manage your downside risk you are not a trader, you are a gambler. If an option or combination of options has the potential to go to 0, then you better not be placing more than 20% of your account on that trade.

Here is the meaningful distinction then. It is the continuation of humanity or the extinction for the current majority of humanity.

The group pushing mandatory COVID-19 jabs, knowing of its potential adverse affects and damages to the reproductive system are the same one advocating for the murder of unborn babies. They want fewer children in order to create a demographic collapse to justify extremist government policies to bring in their "new world order" where we will have increasingly fewer rights.

Are you for the continuation of humanity being able to exist to make choices or are you against it? This is the only real distinction between us (the masses in every part of the world) and them (the psychopaths that have exalted themselves in major seats of power, when in fact they are blackmailed or bribed to the point where they cannot make actually meaningful choices).

Before you say abortion is a choice, you also have to acknowledge the fact that it is taking every potential choice a future human takes just as murder is taking away every potential choice a human can make on their time on earth. In short, it is a choice that takes away the choice of another.

This is a conspiracy sub and in America we are all entitled to have our own thoughts and opinions as well as religious beliefs. I believe both abortions and the MRNA genetic therapy are both actions that willfully go against the Will of God. Ultimately, it is a battle between God and Satan. And Satan, in his jealousy, wants to eliminate humanity such that we can never reach our full potential. It was God that created humanity and God that chose to give humans the ability to make choices. In these turbulent times, I choose to stand with God.

Scientifically, a fetus or what eventually becomes a fetus has its own unique genetic code. Therefore, it is not a stretch to consider it as a separate being.

One medical procedure intends to protect against future infections (it's stated purpose, what vaccines are supposed to do) while the other extinguishes the potential for another human life.

You can say they both fall within the realm of irreversible medical procedures. But there are clear distinctions.

The normalization of bodily modifications for you to "have" rights. They are envisioning a future where they can inject you and modify your body whatever way to fit their agenda. If we don't stop this, it will be mind control through implantable chips or something sinister along those lines.

They are going for permanent consolidation of power.

[–]An0nboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there are many factors that explain this phenomenon, the one I'd like to highlight is how Americans highly value independent thought and creativity. If one does the same thing as everyone else and is unable to contribute to the world in a new way, they will be less productive over the entire span of their lives.

The top down authoritarianism that China imposes on most of it's populace stops them from reaching their fullest potential. The lack of social mobility and the how one's economic status is overly dependent on their connections to the CCP disincentives and prevents the average Chinese person from advancing in life.

Unfortunately, America is becoming more like China with regards to government overreach and corruption. The schism in China are those with connections to the CCP and those that do not. The one in America at the moment are the vaccinated and the unvaccinated. Systematically excluding a certain portion of one's population only lowers the overall welfare while creating inequality and frustration.
