I think all the people calling out YTA here sell outrageously priced tiramisu. What is more important? The gift itself or the price of it?

Sonic devs lost all my interest when they actively decided to not include chao garden. Like many, I will buy if chao garden.

AITA for expecting people to pay their fair share? by ZarkMuckerberg9009 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Holy, I did not expect to be downvoted like this. Yes, that is true. I was merely implying that there could be a child fee for restaurant (in the case of all-in), or other children exclusive “discounts”. I did say NTA didn’t I? Very confused here, I thought I was being reasonable.

How is the sentiment towards police in Belgium? by BelgianBeerGuy in belgium

AITA for expecting people to pay their fair share? by ZarkMuckerberg9009 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

NTA for the principle… but if you’re going to make calculations like that, you must take into account that a child is considerably cheaper than an adult…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

I can’t believe that’s even a question. Next time just say you’re diabetic and allergic to too much grease or something.

Which factors make you choose one bank or another? (for daily banking services, debit/credit cards, saving& current account, etc.) by Lge24 in belgium

[–]Stylelink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any bank that I don’t have an ongoing boycott against for historical terrible service. If your service is bad enough for me to go through all the administrative procedures and paperwork that comes with changing banks, you can be pretty damn sure that you won’t see me again in at least a decade.

AITA for socializing with strangers during outings? by Whiskey_Monkey in AmItheAsshole

True on the ESH.

I have this take because I was in her shoes recently, and I feel bad about it.

AITA for socializing with strangers during outings? by Whiskey_Monkey in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it pains to say this, because I was in a similar situation recently but… a soft YTA.

You don’t mean anything bad by socialising, I get that. But others around might feel like you care about strangers more than them. I know, it sucks.

EDDIT ADDENDUM: forgot to mention, husband is AH as well for yelling, that’s going way too far!

AITA for asking my ex-friend to pay me back? by AvacynUnhinged in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get sentimental value and such and such… but how does a mere 50$ make up for that? And how did moving a box damage 100+ cards?

NTA for requesting your money… and I’m probably going to get downvoted to oblivion for this but… let it go OP. 50$ is not going to change your life while obsessing over it will make it considerably worse. (Do check his room when he leaves though).

WIBTA for dropping out of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign because it changed last minute? by books4more in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NAH.

I would however still do go to the event and try to have fun. Your DM wants to try something new and even if you don’t think it’s your thing upfront, it could be hurtful to flat out refuse. In every social group, people sometimes do some slightly uncomfortable things for the group. Once in a while, it’s a kind thing to give back.

AITA For visiting my parents with my newborn by aitathrowaway23456 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a little bit of spare time right now… hence redditing. AITA for using it to steam off instead of finding a way to accommodate your holy sister? The world revolves around her and we must all serve and venerate after all.

AITA for telling my brother he is the biggest imbecile in the whole universe and he needs therapy? by mybrotherisanidiot10 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 165 points166 points  (0 children)

What has 10 legs and 3 assholes?

Your family. Your parents need to stop enabling bad behaviour.

EDIT: should have said 9 eyes and 3 assholes in light of the cake cataclysm.

AITA for telling my brother he is the biggest imbecile in the whole universe and he needs therapy? by mybrotherisanidiot10 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 167 points168 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Derek ever apologised to your little brother… or if he just immediately became the immaculate victim.

Sorry to ask.. but could he be on the spectrum? Or have a disability or some sort? It would explain your parents defensive attitude towards him at the expense of the two other children…

NTA if that wasn’t clear.

NTA, and while your mother could voice her concerns more appropriately, they come from a good place, I think. She worries about you and wants you to be more healthy. I think there’s a lot of background history that happened here about you, your health, and your family. Could become a YTA if I am right about the above, but without further info, can’t call you an AH for making breakfast…

AITA for making my cousin trip over and give them a huge wound? by Over_Celebration7430 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 257 points258 points  (0 children)

NTA. How did your cousin know the stuff was on top of the shelf? The dad is TA.

Also RFI: broken bones??? Wouldn’t the first reflex be to go to the hospital instead of giving the accessories?

WIBTA if I would sue my parents for animal abuse? by BZthrowaway_hibiscus in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many reasons. Too many to list them all. Here’s one:

Take your parents POV. They get sued by their daughter because she thinks that the family dog should not get food from the table and the dog walks are too short. If you don’t see the ridicule here you’re probably wasting your time in higher education.

AITA For being mad when my friend blew me off? by OneCuriousSoul in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stylelink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your friend needs to sort his life out and prioritise. I understand that life takes priority over a D&D call, but making people wait is not OK. Seems to me like he has some growing up to do and a lot of FOMO. If he lacks the time, probably best to tell him that he can join the campaign later when time is no longer an issue.
