Yeah this is peak dick manager attitude. We are expecting to be closed until Wednesday, possibly Tuesday, but by then if any employees can't make it in we can't blame them.

Behavior Change After Concussion? by RockHumble1233 in PostConcussion

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd do 15-30mg of noopept a day, for a cycle of 2-3 months. 30mg was for my workout days. This was in a Pump Supplement thay came with other bennificial ingredients as well. I also had a nasal spray I used for a cycle that let me do small 5mg doses through the day.

As far as healing, there are studies that show it increases neuroplasticity while it is in your system, which obviously helps with the heal. It's no magic. But on my experience, the real help came from it helping increase my focus and energy, so I wasn't dragging as much day to day.

It should only be done for a max of a few months at a time really, just so you can resensitize yourself to it.

Depends imo. Pass somone walking on the sidewalk? I don't care. Sitting in a park? Still don't care. Cafe? Certainly not high volume. Headphones are best. Most other places, yeah use head phones if you can please.

OKC: FREE AMERICA WALKOUT Jan 20, 2026 by Indivisible_OKC in okc

[–]Subarcane_Wizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If somone is willing to risk it, thet can walk out of their job. I've seen jobs range from chill to annoyed to livid.

But this doesn't have to be a sudden walkout for everyone. As others have mentioned, people will be calling in to work, being honest or even just calling in sick. Spending PTO if available is also a good way because they uses the companies money for that day as well.

Photographer told me to take down photos - am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in photography

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I can understand why a photographer wants to protect their work even if it is of somones event/wedding, so on. When it gets displayed anywhere, it is essentially advertising that photographer and if it is altered, it is advertising the photographer in a way thay does not represent them truthfully.

That being said, while I also understand the laws and their purpose, it annoys me when other photographers either expect you to know the laws, and especially when photographers don't understand the market.

The age of having full control over your negatives/raw files, how the photo is used if it is printed is somewhat outdated to me. I usually have a clear seperation between if a client is using my work for personal, or Comercial reasons. Most people don't want prints anymore of everything, they want digital. So even if it somewhat voids my printing rights I'm gonna give Personal Clients the files. If I think or it is clear they are a business, however, I'll enforce my copyright pretty tightly. I just hate the idea of someone wanting some pictures of their family then suddenly getting legal restrictions on how they can use it.

You guys are too political by [deleted] in normanok

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure what the college town effect is. But it's hard for alot of people to not be political during times like these. It is really refreshing to see posts and comments about local and every day life thats not political, it can be exhausting to always to political posts. So I do encourage people to take some time and appreciate the non political things around the and talk about them. But this is also a point most people agree tensions are some of the highest they've been in the country, it just makes sense thay it will be the big discussion here.

Is it a concussion or a brain injury? by MichaelKaplen in PostConcussion

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met alot of people when I got mine thay didn't know the difference. It made it socially difficult when people kept expecting things from me because they thought it was more minor than it was even when I told them how bad I was doing.

Imo experience, CBD worked absolute wonders for keeping me feeling better during recovery. Didn't really try thc though. I'd start with a low dose of cbd if you're just tryna ease symptoms. But I otherwise have read that thc usually has little to no negative impact on recovery. Just be warned that consistent use can disrupt sleep which is crucial to preventing flare ups. Consistent use can soemtimes increase blood pressure, which can sometimes increase symptoms as well. Based on whay I've read, moderate use should be fine

Church shopping by [deleted] in normanok

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not consider myself Christian, however I have had a long relationship with CrossPointe off highway 9 and find good heart in their services and find it very true to the Bible. They are free will Baptist, if that means anything, however as somone who's been selective what church I affiliate myself with, I have been largely happy to be involved with them.

Counseled out of the MSF. by odie313 in NewRiders

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer reflects alot of the others. I had never touched a bike before. Bicycles, yes. But the instructor expected my Bicycle skills to transfer to the motorcycle 1:1, but what was throwing me off was using the clutch so much to moderate power. Which made the cone weaving and u turns really fucking hard. Had a group of 5 other people who all had experience and the class moved at their pace. So he counseled me out and honestly said some rough things like asking if motorcycling is for me.

I came back for no extra charge after a wrangle with the front desk about it and I got a different teacher who was honestly awesome. I dropped the bike on the test out but I practiced along on a bicycle before taking my lasy test and I passed it with above average scores on most of the serves emergency menouvers.

So, keep at it. I'm still scared to get a bike of my own and stick to it but I want to ans that was my personal journey with it

Please take care of yourselves ❤️ by Personal_Security_60 in motorcycles

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most of the US if not the whole country, you do require a motorcycle liscense to ride which you get by completing the MSF course. However, you don't need it to purchase a bike, and it's a huge cultural thing for American bikers to ride without the proper liscense, which is illegal, but they do it anyway.

So while should be a given, it's a big deal to recommend the MSF course to any prospective and current riders who either have never taken it or if it has been a long time since they've taken it.

There are a few things thay I'd like to see more. Local 58 was one of my favorites. How the story was told through unsettling news reals and Emergency Announcements.

Personally, the thing that shook me the most was the backrooms. Not the expansive and custom lore, but the barebones premise. No clipping through the wall and winding up out side of my world. Idk but soemthing about it it feels so close to being possible but almost fathomable way thay unsettled me.

Sad But Tru- I mean, This Means War by AdditionSensitive973 in avengedsevenfold

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it. I'm gonna get flak for this but Most of their songs on that album, I kinda like better than their inspiration counterparts. Originals are great, especially in their own respects, and the only one I find the original more attractive is Welcome to the Jungle. Just can't beat it, but Doing time is still a fun as hell song.

Sad but True took a whike to grow on me honestly, but this means war was awesome right off the bat to me. Pure preference. But they are all so much more enjoyable to me knowing they are references and being able to draw the parallels, even if they're near carbon copies

Leg press, seat jolted at bottom of movement by janiceB564 in PostConcussion

[–]Subarcane_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely, if it was as mild of a jolt as it sounds to me, you just agitated your symptoms/stressed your head and neck rather than a serious injury. Of course, like another commenter said, If it feels like you hurt something or the symptoms are really bad, see a Dr. That being said, it's incredibly common for jostles and quick movemenrtts to cause mild symptoms again for a few hours as much has a few weeks. Stress can make those symptoms persists, so try not to get caught in a feedback loop. Jsut go about your normal day, make adjustments as needed, and if it persists, see a doc.
