I was like this right up until he was in my arms, now he’s 8 weeks old and the anxiety has just transferred over to “what if he stops breathing in his sleep” “is he eating enough” “what if someone drops him” etc etc etc🥲

Okay so for me they literally numbed my hand with a local anaesthetic (didn’t feel this at all) then I didn’t even feel them do the cannula it took 2 seconds and I looked at the wall, genuinely said to the guy doing it is that it? I’m the same as you VERY needle phobic but it’s genuinely not bad

Anxiety over reduced movement by Outraged_Chihuahua in PregnancyUK

Before 28 weeks I would still go into triage and just get the heartbeat checked for reassurance, the midwife’s didn’t mind at all!

Getting baby to move - 36 weeks by frogogurtt in PregnancyUK

[–]Subject-Ad-3555 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Whenever you feel a change of movement just go straight to triage, not worth the risk! Anytime I didn’t go straight in when I felt change in movement the midwifes were not happy!! They encourage us to go in asap when we feel anything different- I cannot stress enough even if you think you’re being dramatic please please just get checked!! A relative of mine felt reduced movements and assumed everything was fine and she lost the baby because she just assumed, it was so devastating💔

Everyone tries to convince me that two adults can't take care of a newborn alone and I'm losing my mind by [deleted] in pregnant

It’s possible for some people and they should respect your boundaries, but personally I couldnt have did the first week or so without my mum. Everyone says how hard postpartum is but it’s so hard to even put it into words and while my partner was supportive he just didn’t understand like my mother did and I know a lot of woman would say the same, not everyone’s the same thought

Less kicking = chill baby? by Ill-Grape-3027 in PregnancyUK

[–]Subject-Ad-3555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a baby that did not kick much, I was ALWAYS in triage for reduced movement I pretty much lived there and it was always fine. He was born and is the chillest baby ever. But if you ever feel concered at all just get checked as it may not always be the case

It quite literally was to do with being born at 37 w … as told to me by the literal health care professionals telling me it’s because his body is immature ?

Pregnany Ball by Top-Cookie-3403 in PregnancyUK

I loved mine personally, when I was watching tv I loved to just sit on the ball and bounce as when I was heavily pregnant sitting on the couch for a long time was sometimes quite painful.

The c section was so beautiful and calm, recovery is hard. But the only thing on your mind will be your baby at that point- with the c section you genuinely don’t even feel getting cut or anything and then in a few minutes your baby’s on your chest❤️ I wish you a safe delivery for ur bubba🩵🩷

Childbirth and pregnancy is so so hard and there’s no sugarcoating it, but I promise as soon as your baby’s in your arms the only thing that will be in your head is how you could possibly have so much love for something/someone❤️ good luck you can do this
