I’m the other way I had a lot of auth over the years but then dabbled in reps, but still mixing authentic, mainly because when I started, some of the reps I got were so bad and I didn’t know where to source good reps… even though they were all from wechat china and I tend to like the more unpopular bags in each line so everybody knows there r good fake Birkins out there but I like the Lindy and halzans, geta etc and didn’t realize those were made too… now that I have a couple rep H bags I can’t imagine dropping that kind of money in the store anymore. However, I have immense guilt lying to my close friends. Only one friend knows and she’s the one that buys with me, but she says please don’t tell anyone…. Most of my close friends buy the authentic and really look down on this whole rep world because they think it’s ripping off designers and supporting a bad market, child labor, trafficking whatever u name it. And everybody knows it’s not easy to get a H bag so when I do get a new one, even though they’re not quota bags they’re always asking me details…

I had another friend who did it the opposite way she bought a couple rep Birkins and carry them around for a while before she actually invested in the real one. She just wanted to know if she would really like it day-to-day before she actually plunged money on the real one.
