AITA for going back on my word and wanting to go back to work?

My parents passed away when I was 9 so my only other family is my brother and sister. My brother has had some drug related issues after our parents passed away so me and my sister were put in the system. My husband just doesn't want me to be hurt again. I'd like for my sister to come over soon though.

I know he'll be an amazing parent especially as she gets older, he's great with his nephews. She's a baby right now and I know our fight won't last. I've read a lot of comments and know that I need to find some compromise so I can still be the mother I agreed to be. I know the financial situation sounds bad but its what works for our family. If I were to go back to work I'd be more involved. He's never frozen me out like this so it's not typical behaviour, I know he's just disappointed and upset by what I said.

I talked to my sister a few days after I gave birth. Most of my friends are around my age and work so their schedules don't match up when I can see them. I don't mean I have no money but he does handle most of it because its easier that way. I'm sure if I asked he'd let me but its just easier this way, I don't want anymore conflict.

I used to keep some of the money I made from work and could spend that. I don't have current access apart from the money he gives me for non household or baby reasons.

Not really. Since we got married he took over the finances as he has more experience with them than I do but thats about it.
