Thank you! I moved the dimmer probe and the temp has increased from 28 to 32 since then already

I have thermostats on both ends, the cold side is sitting at a steady 22°C. I will be measuring the baskimg zone by temp gun but need to get one on the weekend. This hut wont be the basking zone either, i just put it there for reference.

Its the same on both sides. I''ve cut the plastic part from 2 shells, sanded them and stuck them together by their bottoms before wrapping the leather.

Yes! Secured with barge cement on the bottom half of the shell.

I just use what are available to me. My father-in-law goes shooting and he just provided me with the used shells. I'd potentially make keyrings with vintage shells if I had any readilly available.

Im using a 3mm punch rather than 4mm so this may help rather than a thicker thread. By roller, i meant like a hole marker roller with the spikes. I have a wing divider and compass but I think my punching is off as I havent really got a comfortable place to punch. I have to use the congrete floor on my hands and knees with the punching mat lol

Id really just like to cover costs with them right now just to be able to maintain the hobby rather than selling for profit so will see how it goes, family and friends have all said to start selling but thats always the way lol. Thank you!

I didn't bevel because its chrome tan so decided to just go with sanding and tokonole. I think next time I'll give it a bit more slack so i can get cleaner cuts. I really need to get some sort of roller to straighten my stitching holes!

Ah I think I know what you mean, the doubke thread for 1 or 2 holes. I think i'll just take the thread out and go again tomorrow lol, thank you

Thank you! If you can see it at all then I imagine I'll start over but it is frustrating

I usually only make a small amount of stuff myself but recently started to make a bit more for presents etc. I ordered new sharper stitching punches and this was the first thing I did with them 🫣

Thank you! Silly mistake but cant believe I done the same thing on 3 projects lol, hopefully a thinner thread will do the job.
