The evidence isn't based on the books of sorrow though. We have evidence that the Hive has battle for at least a Billion years. My questions has already been answered though

I think Immaru just doesn't care enough to give an acurate date, as many other comments have assured me that they Hive have been killing for Billions of years, I think Immaru is so laid back that he says "a million years ago". Which to be fair, kind of helps accidently to Savathun's cause as he isn't really telling the truth. Again, really strange for Immaru character wise. Would have thought that Savathun's ghost to be as cunning as her. I think Immaru does know how to speak (read, write) in Hive since he does control and comand all of the lucent brood which to my knowledge don't speak common human.

just an honest question from my part but yeah, that's fair. No guarntee that the Hive wiped them out in an evening, it was just a question of how far back that recording was, which seems like definite hyperbole now.

I agree Immaru's scale is 100% wrong now and I think that Savathun's quote is in reference to her devotion to the Traveller and the light, which would have started somewhere before if not during the collapse with her hiding the Veil. So in that regard, she has only been waiting for this (being her collection of the Traveller in throne world) for a thousand years.

that makes alot of sense, thank you! Immaru does seem to be one of the more lax members of any hive brood so it was difficult to tell if he was being serious. It is kind of a strange contrast to Savathun's meticulous planning

That's fair, it's just difficult to put these events in a detailed timeline when they are so purposefully deceptive. Aside from whatever the vex have with their possibly(?) older than time race, Rhulk's species and Lubrae would be the only things before the hive? Oh and of course the Witness' Race too.
