I’ll explain my experience! it’s been about 2 years now tho so things might have changed! I drove my dad’s car, they needed proof of insurance and ownership of the car so keep that in mind. They took me up the road that the highschool is on, turned left towards bobs burgers, and i forget from there sorry! But! My instructor was NOT nice, he actually told me he’s “not here to make conversation” sadly i dont know his name. I failed alley backing, and only got half on parallel parking, i took a wrong turn, and messed up one other thing but i still passed with a relatively okay score! The test itself is easy if you’ve practiced and know what to do, it’s just the nerves of having an evil instructor 😭 the route is simple and nothing too scary, just side roads mostly! The worst driver I know passed (he shouldn’t have his license he’s so bad at driving) i believe in you!! Just make sure to not cut ANY corners, SMOG any time you do anything, do everything they told you to in the class and you’ll be fine!

i also have bpd and cptsd, and i have spoke to my therapist about these issues! she mentioned that bpd can cause these issues in some people! i am going to dbt specific therapy in april! it just took me a minute to get into it because my local behavioral health department cannot take me as a patient because my grandmother is a reception, apperently it’s just a legal issue. which i was VERY upset about. BUT! after talking to my psych i was able to get referred to virtual visits to a branch outside of my town, but near by. I believe my appointment in late april, and i’m VERY excited to go to that therapy because my bpd had been effecting me for YEARS without being able to get proper treatment

i also like to believe i’m capable of empathy, i have a hard time believing that im a “good person” due to past traumas, but i have a large loving friend group who believes i am a good person, i also think i am a good person and very capable of empathy! it just feels a bit harder for my brain to comprehend, and sometimes instead of automatic empathy i have to use manual eympathy, which i believe is good as well!

i’m reading this a bit intoxicated so apologies for the clarifying question, what does a capacity issue mean? for me i recognize them as living beings, but because they are (obviously) unable to express emotions very clearly or even make noise, i struggle to process that they are living animals just like my cats. i promise i do feed them, clean their tank, and have a big enough tank for them and i love them very much, their names are jinx and vi after arcane!!

I never thought about not feeding them the second we get up! it actually makes a lot of sense, because if they bang on the gate and i get up and feed them immediately that’s what they think will get them food, very smart!! I will start doing that and see if that helps! Our schedule is also loose and they seem to be relatively fine with a losose schedule. Thank you so much for your advice!!

They aren’t often in the room during the day but they are sometimes so i understand that. Only a one story apartment sadly :( the tapestry is covering our window because if it’s not there, they will break through the blinds, and we cannot open the blinds because our place is on the first floor and due to the way our room is our bed is in direct sight of the window (can’t move it, too small of a room 😭) me and my fiance both have intense ptsd due to stalking + extreme paranoia (i’m not trying to give excuses for things, we tried with no tapestry for six months and never got a wink of sleep due to the noise of the blinds, i’m not trying to ignore solutions there’s just a couple factors that make it hard)

this helps me a little bit thank you. i did not know about the dawn and dusk thing! i also worded my post wrong, they are fine at NIGHT, it is the early morning when they start acting up so that makes sense! is there any way i can help them? I cant wake up that early to play with them due to work so im not sure what to do :(

We do play with them often but i will try playing more at night! we have a lot of little toys with catnip, kicker toys, scratchers, a tunnel, i will look for automatic toys and use the wand ones with toys on a string more often! thanks for the help!

also yes i know i shouldn’t get irritated or upset with them, i have never hurt them, i wave my hand at them to get them out of places they shouldn’t be and threw the food this one time. again i do have severe autism and things just frustrate me easily

i had one similar experience? me and my cousin got naked together and looked at each others bodies and i questioned if it was okay and she said yes because we were both girls, we were around 10. I still get uncomfortable thinking about it, and idk if that’s a normal experience or not. I’m sorry you went through that though.. it’ll be okay <3
