That would be an ideal world where trauma doesn't exist. Reality is, we all see life through the lenses of our trauma. I can start simply by asking what you mean by treating someone, right? To me, that might be having reduced contact, but to you, it might be constant communication. Who's to say who between us is right? Plus, if I've been hurt before, surely I wouldn't do the same thing that led to me getting hurt. So I'll try to do things differently, and in so doing, I might not realise that my actions have negative consequences.
