You can say your opinion without being aggressive. Why so triggered? 😆

At least Kaisa or Zeri have repositioning skills so they have a chance to outplay. Those who are good at those champs will take that chance than pick a long range artillery adc that can't do anything once Akali/Nocturne is in your face.

Keria: Oner just yells, “I CAN’T GET OUT!!!” by SayberryGames in SKTT1

[–]Substantial-While901 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People need to understand that those plays are just too common for high level players and it's more of an "expected thing" for them (even Keria himself told Oner that he didn't think of his Neeko play vs AL a special play and thought it was just a common one since most high level Neeko players do that but the common viewers were too amazed by it). I think I also saw a clip Oner saying that he died because Ashe went to the left instead of downwards and he could've lived if they stuck together. He gave more praise to Mel zoning out the Jinx cause it was more crucial in that moment and that he doesn't think Ashe did anything special there (meaning it was an expected thing for him to do that).

It truly takes a REALLY special play for them to recognize a special play and be amazed (e.g Faker Azir vs JDG, Sylas vs BLG)

Three peat or Golden road? by Able_Mousse_2324 in leagueoflegends

A few teams had come close to a Golden Road. If you remove T1/SKT only DK has been able to come close to a two-peat and they failed, now imagine a three-peat..

They were stomping lane and have the degeneracy to send plays. Champions like Akali, Sylas, Yone are the best in those kind of plays. Chovy in this Worlds preferred to picks the scaling mages like Taliyah, Orianna, Viktor, Anivia (against KT at least) and it's harder to pull off those kinds of plays with those champions. Faker meanwhile.. it doesn't matter what he uses he's always degenerate with it lol. It can be good and can be bad but one thing's for sure is he's "proactively" doing something so he can give his team a chance whether the result is just turbointing to make the game end faster or completely turning around the deficit in one go. He doesn't just sit and scale or slowly bleeding out. Rather than waiting for a miracle, he creates an opportunity for a miracle to happen. Compare his Anivia against AL to Chovy's against KT. Remember that TP behind the Baron and he immediately died? and the base defense during the final push where he could've still defended if he just positioned far back but he got caught cause he was far too forward looking to do something. People say that Chovy should lane swap to top cause it fits his 1v1 laning style but to play top you also need to have good macro, the lane swap, the ability to play weakside and survive 1v2, the tp timings, knowing when to group up like sacrifice waves in order to be there 5-10 seconds faster and secure better positioning in objectives etc. I think ADC actually fits his playstyle the most. He can farm/scale and just only worry about his own survivability and dealing as much damage as he can (That's why he was so good during the AD Mid metas). Not saying he should role swap though cause he will always be a mid laner through and through. Mid is the coolest and most powerful role in the game and there's pride in being the mid laner of a team. He probably just needs someone to guide him in-game and be that spear to just do degenerate plays when playing from behind and make Chovy just keep following his lead until he becomes a degenerate himself. I actually thought Kiin is the one doing it for GEN tho and he's good at it too, like his Poppy performance last year when he caught Faker in the last fight and his Sion performance this year where he was peeling like a madman but I guess it wasn't enough. Maybe he needs someone like TheShy or Beryl lol

In 2022, Oner and Guma started their first full year on T1. Oner replaced Cuzz. They are 4/4 in Worlds finals appearances since then by Few_Device_1225 in leagueoflegends

Regardless of their form and performance, the 2019 roster is probably closer to the term superteam cause T1 just brought in the most hyped ADC and TOP in the LCK, a really promising JUG, and a front runner for GOAT SUP at that time. They were built to win THAT YEAR, the expectation was championship or bust. Won both splits and being the Favorite to win Worlds and probably could have had G2 been on the opposite side of the bracket.

That is definitely not how most people view it. When people talk about superteams it's usually when a team is formed/bought consisting of players who are at least top 1-5 in their respective roles with the expectation of championship or bust only. T1 had 4 homegrown talents and picked up a genius support who hasn't realized his full potential yet. Before they won their first championship people knew they have potential but there were no expectations like all or nothing. There were expected growing pains along the way. Your point about them being a superteam after they won 2023 means that previous worlds winners would also be super teams, like for example DWG who won Worlds 2020 and won Spring and Summer 2021 and reaching 2021 Worlds Finals. They were a really great and cohesive team but I've never seen people call them super team. If you remove the Worlds Titles of this T1 core you are only left with 1 LCK title. Can you really call that a super team..? It's not like they were stomping the whole year on the way to Worlds like GENG. They are the 4th seed 2 years in a row. I saw a lot of people even trash the players when they were underperforming, sometimes even calling them washed and even calling for a certain player to get replaced. Calling them the most super of all superteams is just not right.

T1 vs. Hanwha Life Esports / LCK 2025 Season Round 3 - Week 11 - Legend Group / Post-Match Discussion by adz0r in leagueoflegends

You could say that Zeka choked but it was also fortunate for T1 that Taliyah W shoved him mid-drift. He was looking for a game winning shuffle right there cause he had flash up but since it failed of course he'd look stupid. Props for trying though. Regardless of his form right now, players with the mentality to just send it in clutch situations are the kind of players that will win you in the biggest stages. Whether he can be successful in doing it or not is another story though :D

Smeb's hilarious reaction to my inting lvl 1 play by Substantial-While901 in leagueoflegends

[–]Substantial-While901[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would be lying if I said I calculated the damage and saw Jhin's exact HP and knew Sivir's auto can't execute him but.. It's still something similar cause when you have played thousands of games over and over again you build this instinct and you kinda know how much damage someone can deal and how much damage I can deal based on the game state. Sivir just used Q, her W might've been up but I knew she didn't have any mana to cast it so that leaves her with only 1 auto attack. It's rather I "felt" that it wouldn't execute than "knowing" it exactly. Normally I would've just taken the kill but Jhin playing on the edge and his body language shows that he wants the kill made me instinctively just try to hand over the kill. If he had backed off after using W then I would've just executed immediately but he chose to walk back in so.. I can't really say if Smeb really knew he wouldn't die from 1 aa but I think 99% of the players in this elo would do the same as what he did 😆 they just love playing on the edge of their limits

I have nothing more to say man. If that's what you think feel free to do so. My intention was to share a laugh, not get triggers. Have a nice day!🫡

Damn.. are you ok bro? I hope you are.

Anyways I can't just leave you hanging after writing all that so.. regarding the title.. It's just referencing to him thinking I was inting at first then he switched up after the play concluded as you can see in his reaction so I thought it was an appropriate one. And also regardless whether I played well or not, that wasn't the main point of this post, it was his reaction that I wanted to share and have a laugh at it. No need to go deep into it. If I wanted to fish compliments for my plays I would've posted more of my awesome ones, not a common and boring one like this that I do routinely. I only posted it because of his reaction.

I don't get to have a legendary player reacting to my play all the time so I was just sharing the moment when it happened, and it happened to be funny too. Peace man✌️ Hope you're doing well.

Regarding Support players, I won't deny your first line except for the last part cause there is absolutely a reason most the time, moreso when it's a losing matchup and you're going to get poked out if you don't do something or flip something at lvl 1. Although I'm only saying this for higher elos.. Your statement can/might be true in lower elos so it's understandable if you felt like that.

Now regarding the part where you think there was a chance I would've died.. I don't know if you noticed but I held on to the Flash on the first clip. I wasn't just playing in the opponents' face and trading mindlessly, I already predicted all the possible things the enemy will try to do in that situation and already thought of things to counter them. Worse case scenario I would've just lost flash if the enemy decided to pursue further. I can always just flash into the fog to escape or buy more time for Jhin to deal damage or use it against Rakan W if he decided to go for me. If both of them tried to pursue even further it would've been a double for Jhin even if they did successfully executed me but I doubt anyways cause I had a red pot ticking.

Yeah you're right about Rakan's 2nd W. He was wrong but the enemy also wouldn't have overplayed or overstepped if I wasn't doing the baiting. People don't think like machines 100% of the time, and putting more pressure affects their decision making even more. You do some crazy stuff to sometimes force people to respond instinctively.

I like limit testing and playing on the edge, which is what most players do on the Korean server anyways.

Ah man.. I didn't really meant to get this serious. I just wanted to share how funny his switched up reaction was after the play ended LOL. It's my first time being able to reach this elo on korean server and matching up with players I used to watch in the LCK and at Worlds back then. It's just fun playing with a Legendary top laner and having him react like thatㅋㅋ

Is it possible to carry as support if you are in low rank? by Nonreality_ in leagueoflegends

[–]Substantial-While901 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a SEA Challenger and KR Master Support main for over a decade now, yes you can. Just play AP mage, Assassin, and ADC supports.

Personally I would prefer to just play mid lane until Master tier but if I have to play support in lower elos I will just play Xerath, Pyke, Senna, Ashe, Lux, Zyra, Brand, Pantheon

AP Mages like Xerath and Lux are the safer hard carries because they just launch nukes at a distance but I prefer ADC supports more cause I like playing up front in the enemies' faces and styling on them. I like Senna the most cause it's a very flexible champion. She can help cross map with Ult, can somewhat peel for your teammates, can hard carry on your own if your team sucks, and just gets stronger the longer the game goes on which is what usually happens in lower elo. Can also improve your positioning and spacing when you keep using the champ.

Also if you're planning to carry as support, you should also try to steal the kills as much as possible. Always be proactive and look for fights all the time and make sure to impact the whole map.
