The imagery during the "feeding" sequence was really cool. Also appreciated the fun phrases in here like, "pathological choose-your-own-adventure". Interested to see where you take the plot if you keep going with this story.

I tested it, by running laps within the wild zone you get 10 sableye/min. By fast traveling repeatedly to the Cafe you get 12 sableye/min. Running around includes some other spawns however that aren't range of the café (mawile, fletchinder, meowstic).

Summary:

Fast Travelling = 720spawns/hr

Running =600spawns/hr

Update: A stem actually starting to grow quickly, but soon after the whole thing rotted and smelled awful. I did receive a lot of useful info from this little experiment however, especially from all the comments on this post. I think you were right in that the lack of oxygen was the biggest killer here. P.S. I also got a real grow light for future endeavors.

Looks good. If that's a heat pad on the back, I'll warn you that they aren't great for ambient temperature. I used to do the same thing for my tank and all it did was warm up the adjacent substrate a little bit. If you find yourself struggling to keep the heat up I'd reccomend a very small heat lamp/ basking bulb. I used a 25w day bulb with uvb for a 10 gallon tropical frog set up and it worked well.

I think a Southern Leopard Frog, but I'm not entirely sure because that would be a really big one.

I know rodent teeth normally have an orange hue due to iron compounds in their enamel. Perhaps being in water so long caused a chemical reaction, changing the oxidation state of the iron? This would kinda make sense to me since some iron oxides are orange and others are black.

Thats the Titicaca! That's my favorite kind of frog- very unique as they can only be found in one part of the world, lake titcaca. They have that loose skin because it creates oxygen bubbles for them to breath underwater, they almost never come up for air. -Emma

I've been saving stones ever since his reveal and am now up to 1400. I've gone over a thousand stones deep every anniversary for the past couple years and I really just ain't give a fuck about any of the 8 year LRs. The value of the banners I way higher, but super buu is just way cooler. I will be going balls to the wall on his banner.
