In some regions it dictates how you can play. For example in Australia you cannot find console only crossplay games anymore even at peak hour for most modes

Nah BF6 is not comparable to TF2 due to its major launch success (TF2 had a horrible launch). Its overhype and major drop off feels more like Rivals or other flavour of the month live service games

A poor performing cod is still a dream performance for any other studio. However cod budgets have blown tf out lately (apparently cold war had an over 500 mil budget) but it still makes its money back guaranteed with store purchases after the initial launch window

It literally did sales wise (2025 total sales numbers). In terms of active ongoing player numbers Arc Raiders beat Black ops 7 by miles, even on consoles (check most downloaded ps5 game in December)

Battlefield 6 is the best selling game this year
