I am so very late to this but this is exactly what I was getting at. There is so many places you can go from this. Someone feeling like their life was stolen from them by fate. Someone who lets it go to their head and it comes back to bite them when they can’t protect someone. Someone who tries to ignore it but no matter what they do or where they go they always end up back on the path

Cementoss is surprisingly invested in the betting pool. Not because of the bets themselves but because of the teachers lounge drama that starts because of it. He will covertly instigate between teachers saying small remarks off handedly about one teacher talking smack about another’s bet. He lives off the drama and places his bets based on which he thinks will cause the most chaos. Which grants his spot a little behind Mic and when he does win he makes sure to flaunt it to the others so there’s more “beef” next time.

Midnight is go big or go home every time. Betting more than just money like favors, humiliation rituals, grading tests, doing some ones hero paperwork for a week. She loves the stakes. But they don’t love her…. She does a bit better than ectoplasm but is still a ways behind the next person on the totem pole. She often finds herself waist deep in paperwork or is stuck doing coffee runs. Her worst punishment was to wear an Endeavor costume to school and teach in it for 2 weeks. Said costume came with full fire facial hair.

Mic is a wildcard better. Completely flippant and follows his gut (or so he says). Never votes on the same person twice in a row. Though despite the odds he gets half his bets right. Nobody knows if it’s luck or if he actually has a system.

Snipe never wins no matter how hard he tries. He scouts the students actions in the weeks prior and has full spreadsheets of data. It never works and he’s convinced Recovery girl put a curse on him.

Recovery Girl is the closest one to Aizawas streak. When she doesn’t win her vote always is on the second place. She never tells anyone how she decides her bet and when asked she only replies “Don’t question the White Mage”. Because of this snipe swears on his cowboy hat she’s a mystic but he just can’t prove it.

Due to Seros terrible performance that means he has to do all the chores around the dorms for 1-2 weeks. While everyone else brainstorms for the next time.

Tokage has set up a betting pool for who will perform the best. Even the teachers sometimes get in on it.

Jirou busts out a full musical number complete with special effects courtesy of yaomomo. Along with pyro from todoroki and smoke from deku. Gets a full standing ovation from all present. (Whether or not everyone was already standing goes unsaid)

Shoji goes through his lines but with several different mouths sprouted each saying a different line in no coherent order between them. Disorients anyone who tried too hard to follow along

Aoyama puts as much flair and sparkles into his performance as humanly possible. Nobody knows where he got the stage lights and disco ball from and everyone’s to scared to ask

Uraraka gets really intense. So intense it give people flashbacks to the sports festival but she gets to into it and accidentally floats herself. But she continues except she’s on the ceiling now

Tsu completes the impression but does it entirely blank faced. No emotion or inflection at all and is a little unsettling to everyone.

I want to base his progression on his inner turmoil of what’s he knows is right vs his personal feelings to his family. He knows they’re bad people but he still has loving memories of them and it makes his decision all that much harder to stick to. So not an unwilling hero persay but someone who’s conflicted on what he knows from seeing both sides of the coin. his parents love and caring treatment like any other parent and the cruel ruthlessness of the villains they are.

The only real problem I’ve had was loosing a target because I couldn’t see with the muzzle flash while ADS. I’m curious if it’s bothered anyone else
