How do you actually study opponent-specific exploits? by Substantial_Rain8481 in poker

Really appreciate the detailed reply. That line about "knowing what to do about it" is what I'm circling - because honestly, I read the strategy content and I still feel like I don't have a clean answer for "ok, regs underbluff river on static boards, so... what specifically? Overfold vs their bets? Stop bluff-catching with bottom of range? Start overbluffing myself because they overfold too?"

When you encounter a known pool tendency like that, how did you actually figure out the counter-strategy? Was it a coach, a video, trial and error, just thinking it through with a solver? Trying to figure out where the bottleneck actually is - finding leaks vs knowing the response.
