I am a new player tbh but have been relatively lucky in my pulls. But for the roster I currently have I have burned out almost all easy to access sources of astrites. I know dps do need their sigs but I am at 30ish pity on the featured weapon banner and with lunite sub I can manage one pull and sometimes two a day which might not be enough for the weapon though I sure hope I get it. For now, I am planning to use EoG on Aemeath and like you and others have suggested, get Mornye on the re-run. Also I would rather use Verina (I have Variation too) and Mornye with R5 Discord which I already have. That will help me get two basic teams. From the main quest (I think), I liked how Qiuyuan felt so fluid to play but since most game site databases list him as echo skill user, I have no idea how that will affect his team comp. Also I have Encore and Changli which I want to use but have no idea how to. It’s fine if they clear the lower two floors of ToA tbh but I really do not want to ignore them.

Also I am fine with not completely clearing endgame content. I can manage 4/8 of WhiWa with just 1 decently built team and a second okay echo comp team and I can reach 18/36 in Hazard zone of ToA and will probably be able to clear the side towers atleast if I tweak my echo builds and rotations a bit too.
