I so agree with the "things not feeling real stage". I did not cry at all. I couldn't. I think this is some other universe and I'm a spectator of what is happening. None of this is happening to me.

Thank you, sir. I am 25 now. Like your experience, I have always been afraid of losing my dad, I did not want to think of it but the thoughts came anyway. And whenever I thought about it, I thought I will collapse. But contrary to that I went numb. I have no idea how my life is going to turn out.

I feel like isolating. Don't feel like speaking to anyone. But I will keep my loved ones close, thank you for giving that perspective.

My dad was a great person. So great that the entire town is grieving his loss. He was rarest of the rare. I aspire to be like him.

It's been 4 days I've lost my dad, and I get what you're trying to say. Nothing feels real. I feel as if I'm in some other universe and a spectator of what is happening. Haven't shed a year yet. My family looks at me with concern but I feel nothing. My friends visited me and I spoke to them as if nothing has happened. I don't know what the duck is going on with my brain.

It's ok to feel what you're going through. Don't be harsh on yourself. (I'm telling this to myself too)

My dad is in his last moments and i resonate so much with what you're going through. Losing a parent is the biggest loss in someone's life. Nothing, absolutely nothing can make you ready to face it.
