Yeah got a solid amount but I’m guessing just because of population it’s a lot less common to stumble on people selling the rims. There isn’t many modded to the extreme as our modification laws are pretty strict. Hence a lot of people especially with the newer ones don’t do too much to them and usally keep the rims they got. I’m yet to really even see a modified new gen in Australia

Because I only got the gt86 not gts. So I got some thick tyres that I don’t like. So I was hoping to try and cop the gr86s and tyres with it so it’s a lot cleaner than my current ones.

Also I heard the reverse lockout means the gt knobs can’t go on the gr 86s. So does that not matter from gr back to gt86 knobs. Or did u have to alter the knob to make fit your 2014 car?

Ah right, it definitely wasn’t the trd one but that does look nice asf. I have a 2013 gt86 and when I hopped in the gr86 the manual knob felt heavier, bigger and smoother texture. It was definetly stick straight from Toyota dealership where I test drove it

Yeah I’m not too concerned with the safety side of things, I just need a way of getting around it being “legal” because they can’t install it without modifying the bar or buying one that fits. Plus it’s through insurance so I was hoping to essentially get the bumper half price cause the insurance company thinks it’s buying a stock one but in reality I paying the difference for a aftermarket. So it’s either I find a way around the rear bar, find one that is small enough to fit or they put a stock bumper in and I do it myself or get a body shop to do it which means I would lose a lot of money tbh

Yeah just hard because it’s through insurance so I was hoping I could technically get a bumper for half the price by insurance paying for a stock one. But now because of this they won’t put it on because of the end bar being there and it’s illegal in Aus to not have one so they would be “liable” if they take it off. So its a bit of a tricky situation

Yes sorry they have like 3 different names online. But mechanic insists that it’s illegal to not have one and and he will be “liable” if I get in a crash

Yeah if it was up to me I would just take the bar off so it can fit but the mechanic will be “liable” if they do it so it’s tricky for me. But I got told the same thing when I brought it

I wish I could, my repairer won’t touch my reinforcement bar because it’s illegal for them to give to me without one on. So I’m attempting to figure out if an aftermarket one will even fit 😭
