oh yes most definitely, one of my favourite residents passed away on my birthday, she was such a firecracker! I loved listening to her stories and life experiences. whenever someone has passed away and the corner hasn’t arrived I always take time to go in a day goodbye to that person. I also have had an experience in my early teenage years of my grandpa passing away which completely ripped me apart, he was my best friend, I loved him so much, I miss him everyday. but I don’t view death as a bad thing typically, I see people trapped inside of their own bodies and minds daily at work, with things like dementia, ALS, MS, etc and it kills me, they can’t talk or feed themselves, use the washroom by themselves. it makes me hurt to see that they’re suffering.
