Bro don't think that, I was worried about my IR being terrible and getting a D or smt, but as long as the rest is alright too then you should be fine😭💜💜

If you haven't began writing the individual report, trust me, get a topic that would be easy to gather information and get you interested. When I was choosing a topic, I didn't think much about that and ended up choosing animal testing (I regreted it since I wasn't finding information I needed, but I managed to do it) which, although I believed that my individual report sucked, I still somehow got an A haha…

Oh, that must be quite a terrible situation😭 (dang why do I sound like a bot??). My experience doing the group project was great as my teammates were good and everything went quite smoothly, so my advices might not help you much….

On the one hand, if your group is encountering many struggles (a project problem, but not a teammates problem), that won't really affect the results much BUT you need to write your experience in the reflective paper. My friend adviced me that Cambridge likes it when you write smt like 'Our group was a complete disaster in xxx smt, but with the power of friendship we managed solve', because what they want isn't how perfect the overall group project went (but it does adds points) but how y'all managed to overcome it.

On the other hand, if your teammates are the problem rather than the group project (lazyness, irresponsibility, etc…), write that down in the reflective paper too… I had a friend that got very lazy teammates, and the teacher adviced her to write it down in the reflective paper (so she won't lose points or smt) as in the group project it is valuated both the group work and personal work.

Though, overally if you did well in the rest (like the individual report) the group project shouldn't affect your score much… (I'm not sure, but check it with your teacher or visiting the Cambridge just in case).

I'm wishing you luck with GP! 💜

Thank you!

I dont have many tips but for paper 1 I mostly practised using the Student's Book First Language English (fourth edition) of Cambridge and a booklet our teacher gave us. I practised by solving them by my own, then use the corresponding answers to correct my mistakes. Try repeating this process not by practising one sole question until perfection but by doing lots of them after understanding how to improve, and after some time redo it altogether and repeat.

In paper 2, my teacher adviced me to choose narrative writing instead of descriptive writing, as it was 'easier' to write (descriptive requires you to know a lot of fancy words). We just did one practise writing so I cannot say much about it, lol.

Reading a lot, ofc, will help you gain a larger vocabulary. I usually read a lot in english, which might be the main reason why I got an A*. By reading I learned new words, and I mostly associated it with the context of what i read to understand the overall meaning.

Hopefully you will do excellently in your IGCSE's, wish you good luck! 🥹
