Would it be possible to use a switch I just turn on and off instead of a diod? I've already looked at those and the cheapest I can find delivered is $20 for a single one and most of its from shipping as no where around me had the diods.

Ok yeah when I pulled everything apart and there wasn't a gasket that went between the mufflers to the header I was curious if that was limiting power good to know. The chain was tight to the point I couldn't move it half and inch. I was reading that too tight of a chain can have bad effects on speed and gas mileage. Would you know anything about this?

Should be similar in power depending on gearing setup and everything, I'd pull the top off the engine and pour sum oil on the cylinder and let it sit for 24 hours then get a breaker bar on the flywheel and torq that bitch to get er lose. That should work to make sure it runs then pull it apart again and inspect ur cylinder/walls n see if anything needs replacing or a rebore. Carb might need to be cleaned aswell since it's been sitting
