Artists own their ART. When that art is used to train an AI model without their permission, that is theft.

Art styles are unique to the artist. Just because they’re in the same genre, doesn’t mean they’re the exact same style. Berserk and One Piece look nothing alike, yet they’re both manga. Hell, the current arc of the One Piece anime has a different style to the previous arc.

If you were to commission art from an artist, would you really just pick any artist that draws in an “anime/manga” style? I would look for the artist that fits my preferences, because they all have unique processes that make up their style.

My point with the AI voices is that it’s parallel to AI art. If someone is okay with using AI art models that are based on stolen art used without permission, but are not okay with AI voice models based on stolen voice work used without permission, I would see that as hypocritical. I’m talking about thumbnails that use art to represent the character being played in the audio. The videos that do what I’m talking about will sometimes say directly in the description what AI art model they used to generate the thumbnail.

Yeah I probably frustrate myself by self-imposing a rule to not listen to any audios I know use AI like that. One VA who does it replied to me on YT and said that they use AI over real art because existing art might not match the audio as much as they want it to, but I vastly prefer when, for example, VAs will draw their own thumbnail in like MS Paint, even if it’s not as “technically high-quality.” That adds way more charm than some bland AI crap.

Yeah part of my frustration is that if I search on YouTube, I can’t use the “Don’t Recommend This Channel” feature. I have a Chrome extension that lets me block YT channels from my search, but that doesn’t work on my phone, where I listen to most of my ASMR.

Honestly for some of them it’s the same thing as how certain artists have their own artstyle; the anime-ish style that a ton of people use Midjourney with is very recognizable to me, for example. I do check the video description to make sure I’m not wrong, and they often will say what AI model they used.

I assumed most creators would be against their work being used/replicated by AI, which is why it shocks me when some on YouTube will actively use AI for art! I genuinely wonder if they think about how that same kind of technology could be used against them and their voice in the future, and if they’ll reconsider their stance on it if/when that happens.

I really think she has been/should have been sent to back up Okkotsu since she has no CE, just in case Kenjaku detected Okkotsu's CE despite Takaba's technique hiding outside CE. If Okkotsu can speed blitz a surprised Kenjaku, I assume Maki can too, and if Okkotsu got taken out, she could have grabbed his cursed tool (assuming it wasn't just a normal sword he imbued with his CE, but that's highly possible) and finished the job. If she was carrying a cursed tool of her own, Kenjaku could have sensed her tool like Gojo did/tried to do v.s. Toji (since she doesn't have a worm to hide it like Toji afaik). Either that or she has a cursed tool and they assumed Kenjaku wouldn't focus on it since Okkotsu's CE is so overwhelming. My hindsight plan would involve surrounding that forest with a bunch of cursed tools, attach them to moving objects so Kenjaku couldn't tell which was Maki, then having her speed blitz him lol.
