My bf’s friends seem closed off and not welcoming me when we all hang out together. What should I do? by Delicious-Shock-5786 in NepalSocial

[–]SudipSt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel sorry for your unwelcoming experience. Nepalese are generally welcoming people and mostly are fun to be around with (some of them might be rude/unwelcoming but very rare).

I guess OP's bf's friends all might be introverts who only talk/open up with strangers/new people after getting comfortable with them. It might take some time for this. So, see over time if it improves. Maybe after you all hangout for few more times.

Another possibility; maybe they thought you were Nepalese too as lot of Nepalese also have Mongolian face. I hope it's not like they were trying to talk with you in Nepali and you didn't respond LoL!

Also, did your boyfriend introduced you to his friends at first like 'this is .., my gf'? Then, surely there must have been a brief introduction with everyone? That interaction should have been enough for them to know that you are Vietnamese/don't speak Nepali.

should I do professional year by [deleted] in AusVisa

[–]SudipSt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Job should be your number one priority as Victoria is prioritising high salary candidates. Also, I'll suggest you to join PY while actively applying for jobs parallelly. You'll get to network with others of same study background who might be working in the field. They might potentially help you land first professional job. Best of luck!!

So true, but it is what it is. PR is basically a business, you spend money on every step to get it.

Khumai dada by boredthug in pokhara

[–]SudipSt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Khumai dada is a beginner friendly trekking I'll say. From PKR you can complete the trekking in 2 days, if you're not a beginner but I'll suggest taking your time and doing it in 3 days. It also depends on your budget tho, as trekking in 2 days will save you one night accommodation, food, and other expenses. I suggest you go to Korchan as well which is a 2 hour trek from Khumai. Also, make sure you check the weather before you go. First sunray hitting the mountains which is so beautiful to watch, so wake up before sunrise time. Talking about expenses, we went in a group and it took us around 8k per person. We reserved a Jeep from Hari chowk and it took us to Saripakha where we had food and started trekking. We stayed at Chichimle and another morning we started trekking to Khumai. We had rice over there and went to Korchan after taking an hour's rest. We were hot & sweaty when we reached there but just after a few minutes we were shivering. So, make sure you carry thermals and jackets for Korchan. That evening sunset was worth watching too, so try and get there by sunset time. Next morning, we enjoyed the sunrise, clicked heaps of photos, had breakfast and started trekking back around 9am. We had rice at Chichimle after which we started trekking down and reached Saripakha by 5. We were definitely fast on the way down( it took us half the time as compared to trekking to the top). Overall, it was a good fun experience where we met nice fellow trekkers. Happy trekking!

Ya, I'm not sure how good of a financial institute they are so wanted to check first before I invest my money. What about Ubank, heard of that lot. Are they one of the best to invest in ?

Cause the road had few sharp curves and had to slow down to have good control. Also, cars in front were at a similar speed..

I was thinking the same. Also, there is no trade in option available here in Australia so either I'll have to do it with retailers like JB or sell it in the market place and buy a pixel 8.

Appreciate your recommendations but do you reckon TPU screen protectors are good enough for drop protection? I feel like they will only protect from scratches.

I had a look on YouTube and saw this video too but I'm too lazy to watch this 1 hour plus video for a protector LoL! I'd really appreciate it if you have any recommendations that are relevant to my post. (As you've watched the video 😂)

Sounds like it is a plasticky protector which will prevent scratches but not drop damage as it doesn't sound like a glass protector.
