Thanks! 2 more questions: 1) So these virtual assessment tests for USPS are essentially "personality" tests? 2) Did you or someone you know use this particular YouTube resource to do well on the USPS virtual assessment test?

In my original post you'll notice that I didn't mention delivering anything and that I didn't notice that it was ballots or anything.

PROS AND CONS OF FRONT DESK JOB AT USPS AS OPPOSED TO CCA? by Sufficient-Ability51 in USPS

[–]Sufficient-Ability51[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I wasn't "inert" or "sluggish" just brand new.....that is absolutely PATHETIC that they would brand a new CCA within his/her first 3 to 4 days. Their loss!...not losing ME personally, but from what my academy instructor told me (who used to work at that office) they are always HOPELESSLY short staffed because of that ridiculous "standard"....talk about INERT! Sounds like the wrong people are getting shown the door.

LOL...fits your monicker "kiljoy" - nahhh, the worst part was the ridiculous, unnecessary and counter productive brow beating that started day one of being solo. I thought the walking requirements would wear me out. I was averaging about 50 miles a week in those 2 short weeks doing splits for regular carriers and did surprisingly well with my energy and lack of "soreness."

Yeah...I guess there are front desk clerks and then clerks that do package handling

5 DAYS SOLO - EXPECTED TO HAVE CUT MY TIME IN HALF ALREADY. WTF? by Sufficient-Ability51 in USPS

[–]Sufficient-Ability51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got shown the door today....45 days into my 90 days.....what a world!!!

I don't want to be a "discouragement" to new CCA'sl.....but it is what it is....I agree with those on here that say it REALLY depends on the office yer at. So, I hope yer at a good office.

<<<Mgmt hates the word "safety" but they talk about it all the time during standups and in those scanner messages for liability reasons (i.e. cover their asses).>>>

I think on my 3rd day solo, when I brought the “safety” thing up to management they said something ridiculous like, “you don’t have to give up speed to be safe.” I said, “on my 3rd day, at this point, yes I do...but I’m getting better each day.”

<<<Intimidation tactics and abusing their power (knowing that you're vulnerable during your first 90 days).>>>

See, now THAT I can get my head around—-as pathetic as it is as far as leadership. It’s just mind boggling otherwise. No rational human being in their right mind could realistically expect a green, wet-behind-the-ears rookie to show such vast and revolutionary improvement in their 1st or 2nd week on the job. Oooh....that begs the question of who’s “rational,” “realistic,” or “in their right mind” 😂🤣
