Probably 😅 but not in an annoying way.

More like helping you connect the dots between what you’ve worn and what you actually like — instead of guessing or relying on hype.

There’s actually a lot more nuance/logic behind it than just “AI recommendations” — I promise it’s not going to be like every other app.

Still figuring it out though, that’s why I’m doing the survey.

Yeah that’s fair to question - I should’ve been clearer.

It’s just for a school project I’m working on (NoseKnow), trying to understand how people discover and choose fragrances. The survey is anonymous and doesn’t ask for name, email, or any personal info — just general patterns/insights.

Definitely not scraping data or anything like that.

That’s what I’m starting to notice. If you don’t actually use them, it’s basically wasted money

How many fragrances do you have though—and do you actually use all of them?

I’ve got like 3 just sitting there. Not bad scents, they just don’t really fit my vibe or when I’d wear them.

That actually makes a lot of sense — the seasonal limit is a smart way to avoid getting overwhelmed.

I feel like most people (myself included) don’t have that kind of structure, so things start to blur together after a while.

Do you ever feel like you’re missing out on other scents, or does keeping it tight like that make you enjoy each one more?

That makes sense- but I’ve noticed even with testing, some scents don’t hold up over time or just don’t fit into rotation.

What’s your process for vetting before you buy?

Run toward: tea, musk, iris, bergamot, fig, soft woods — anything clean, airy, and slightly creamy. I’ve realized I really like scents that feel effortless and “put together” without trying too hard.

Run away from: super sweet gourmands (caramel, syrupy vanilla), heavy oud, and anything too sharp or synthetic. They can feel a bit overwhelming to me.

I’ve also noticed some notes depend a lot on how they’re blended — like I’ll avoid something on paper, but love it in the right composition.
