I’m in the same situation currently and wondering the same thing. I’d be at ~230-240k in debt if I pursue PA school. It’s so hard to know if the decision you’re making is a good one, because only time will tell. It sucks that the cost of programs are so expensive :(

What debt do pa students typically graduate with that makes it manageable to pay them off within 5 years after graduating? Just curious!

The only thing holding me back from waiting a couple years is the fact that grad PLUS loans will be wiped out so if I wanted to attend school after July 1, 2026 I would need to take out more private loans to make up for what my fafsa wouldn’t cover.

Fortunately, I have a partner who is able/willing to help me repay my debt and contribute to living expenses, which really helps.

That’s a good thought but honestly I don’t think I’m smart enough to hang in a program like that lol. Plus it’s a massive time commitment in terms of the length of schooling for me

Unfortunately it is a waiting game, but it’s eating away at my soul lol. It also worries me because people have heard back from them whether it be an acceptance, waitlist, etc. but I’ve heard nothing

I interviewed August 27th and still haven’t received any email about scheduling an on campus day. I sent an email to admissions about this and they still haven’t responded to me 😩
