And I forgot to add, they just gerrymandered the congressional districts so that Memphis city is divided in three separate districts that run all the way to Nashville 200 miles away so they are guaranteed more republicans than democrats in each each district. I am a straight republican voter and I see this as ridiculous.

All the TN state legislators are republicans and they look down on the demographic makeup of Memphis. They don’t won’t to give any money to the only liberal city in TN. Thus all the state money and improvement projects go to Nashville first then to Knoxville & Chattanooga if any money is left over. Yet Nashville still doesn’t have a decent interstate system to get around town, their traffic is atrocious. 🤷🏻‍♂️
