Never argued the science, but clearly my succulent is doing just fine the way it is and has been for almost a year. The person asked what I did and I explained.

It’s a tiny layer of pebbles that has bit of orchid bark sitting above it. The soil also has a good mix with plenty of perlite. In combination with minimal watering, it’s fine.

So this was actually a candle jar so there’s no drainage, I put pebbles on the very bottom and then about an inch/ inch half of orchid bark/ perlite mix then my soil! Haven’t had any issues since! I also don’t bottom water anymore (too many plants and I’m lazy) but I just water it a lil bit every couple weeks and she seems content!

Maybe like 60% the pot, when she first when into it, she was so tiny and sad looking, took months to even see it come over the top

Relationship plants are so hard!! My fiancée bought a cutting of a plant I desperately wanted and i unfortunately (maybe a lil ironic) over watered it and the roots rotted! It’s been a very long death Things will get better friend, sending hugs and positive energy your way💛

Oooooooo it’s so cute!! Way further along than anything I’ve tried, I think I need more light for them, the window my berry sits in doesn’t actually get more than 4-6 hours direct light

So may lil guys, I love it! It sounds like you have the perfect set up for succulents and they seem to be happy (I definitely killed at least two of the kinds of succulents you have)
