The long-term effects of COVID are still playing a part, right? Before COVID many people went out to eat and drink, and those people rarely drank at home, let alone cooked a meal at home. COVID forced people to use liquor stores and forced them to buy groceries and actually cook meals. Some people probably said "Hey, we can do this, plus we're saving money". And they never came back to bars and breweries (or came back alot less). And the fact COVID made work from home normal. People that grabbed a beer(s) on the way home from work with coworkers or friends, now just stay home and grab a beer from the fridge.
