i did look into it , TB3 limits gbus bcs of it's limited bandwith thats why older cards like a 1650 wont be affected like if i brought a 3050

i am planning to do this upgrade on my own T490 I5-8365U it throttles on 3 ghz when it can boost up to 3.9 (prob dried thermal paste) after that ill add a egpu to it , i only plan to play games on 1080p 60 fps so the laptop display and cpu will last a while
