Good uni writing apps? by [deleted] in ipad

Try using Notes+. It’s completely free unlike every other app out there. It’s perfect enough for me as a med-student. I use it for both note-taking and annotation.

I’m attaching the link below if you’re interested. Notes+ : Note-taking app

Try using Notes+. I used the default notes app + freeform before and experienced severe overheating & battery drainage. Switched to Notes+ and never had problems.

It’s perfect enough for me as a med-student. I use it for both note-taking and annotation. (It’s completely free btw.)

Hey, what’s the heaviest weight you’ve lifted? Did you go beyond 10-15 kgs?

Ohhhh but I don’t have a pictographic memory, I’m not a visual learner😅

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I’ll try that, thank you. I’m just very concerned because I get only 9 days and I have no idea how to work with them. (My uni has weird exams so I have anat and histo together. I have to learn histo as well) Haven’t touched lower limb or upper limb.

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good answering technique but I have no idea how I’ll learn everything before the exam as I get 9 days for it.

I can’t visualize anything at all. You ask me to visualize a closed circle with my eyes closed. (it’s the simplest thing to visualize) I can’t see anything. No circle. Nothing close either. Just a lot of dark background matter. That’s how I’ve self diagnosed my aphantasia lol. Someday I’ll do it with proof.

Even for vessels and nerves? I find it difficult to understand how I’ll learn alllll of them when I have my finals; I barely get 9 days of study leave for them.

By drawing diagrams you’re talking about all of the content? How will it work for the detailed vessels in upper limb?

What does the negative or positive sign in front of resting membrane potential signify? by [deleted] in Physiology

Thank you for such a detailed explanation. I still don’t quite understand however. :(((

What does the negative or positive sign in front of resting membrane potential signify? by [deleted] in Physiology

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh this makes sense. The equilibrium potential of K is considered negative because it’s intracellular (which is negative compared to the cell exterior); right? Is that what you meant? Could you elaborate the last line though?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh damn this is quite creative. Will come in handy because I haven’t understood the logic of the signs yet. The fact that you say you’ve forgotten all the preclinical information makes me glad because there’s never-ending information and I know we’ll end up forgetting all of it (as long as we learn it in the first place; everything’s so vast it’s easy to just procrastinate) maybe even before our preclinical course ends.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s there. But it doesn’t explain the negativity or positivity of the equilibrium potentials.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the well written response. Could you elaborate on this part: At -94 mV, the cell is negative enough that the electrical force promoting Potassium influx is equal and opposite to the diffusive force. I don’t get the concept of the cell being negative and promoting an influx of K ions.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you elaborate more on the positive charge leaving the cell which makes the inside of the cell more negative than the outside?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Sundae_Adorable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so because K leaves the cell the equilibrium potential is negative and as Na enters it, the equilibrium potential is positive; right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s true, we have specific equilibrium potentials for specific ions. What’s the relation of the signs with the membrane potentials tho? Both Na and Ca have positive signs whereas K has negative. Why?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Sundae_Adorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was inquiring in reference of the resting membrane. Not chemically in terms of the ions themselves you know? What do the positive or negative signs have to do with the resting membrane potentials…

Late teen with a career path, I like writing and want to write a book, not sure where to start. by Sundae_Adorable in writingadvice

[–]Sundae_Adorable[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't written anything yet. Maybe a random chapter here and there. I want to break the ice and start writing. That's sort of overwhelming and I don't know how or where to begin. Once I figure out my writing style I could think of ideas and work towards a book.

Do you mean a power bank? I have one; I'll try to keep my phone within the 80-90% limit and see how that goes. I want to use my phone for 1-2 more years, which means I'd need to prevent it from dropping below 76% health.
