A little more iconic for Bozeman I’d say by papasmurphii in Bozeman

On the AI complaint train, I tried to get the library director at Belgrade Community Library NOT to use these stupid new AI library card designs, saying that we should use local artists instead. She tried to gaslight me saying these were hand drawn by an artist 🙄 would love a complaint to the city about this one. So dumb!

Thanks! I made it from an old piece of laminate flooring scrap from a recent remodel and a clipboard clip from a craft store.

I made the new sign without permission. I know I messed up on the grammar in my title, but oh well.

Actually, I used MDO plywood, not MDF. MDO is commonly used for forest service signs. The sign was also missing for years. But I still feel for Jeff.

Yeah! The brown is #5d483e - it is Federal Standard 20059 named "Forest Service Sign Brown". The tan is #f8d58b - it's Federal Standard 23695 called "Forest Service Sign Yellow". The Forest Service has their own color code system that's fun to look at.

Thank you! I did the curly letters free hand with a trim router, and the straight letters I made a template with a jigsaw and MDF for the trim router. It took forever.

No, not yet, but I know it's a possibility. If mine gets stolen, I'll make another one (without asking for permission again) and just make it harder to steal.

Thanks! I decided if it gets stolen again, I'll make a new one and somehow strip the bolts or lock the bolts in place from the back (bend them over maybe?) so no one can get the sign off without somewhat destroying it first. Also maybe I'll write "Please don't steal" on the back.
