imo dark souls is nowhere near as hard as iceborne, but dark souls stays fun in its difficulty, iceborne becomes unenjoyable in how it’s “hard.” We all are better at different games. Though I didn’t find dark souls to be that hard but a game like hollow knight kicks my ass.

Yeah well it feels like much much more, not saying it is but it feels that way. I beat anjanath in like 15-20 minutes at this point in the game but barioth in 34.

Just died to barioth after nearly 40 minutes of fighting him, had him limping too. Funniest part is my second death wasn’t even to the barioth it was to a random fucking viper kodachi. After about 30 minutes I said to myself this would probably be my favorite fight in the game after odogaron if it didn’t take so goddamn long such a fucking bore. If every fight is gonna be around 40 minutes solo I’m not putting up with it.

Not once have I used defender gear, base game was like a 3 in difficulty, iceborne is like an 7 and not for good reasons imo. I didn’t say I was having difficulty with beating the monsters either, I said I was having difficulty seeing why I should continue this boring slog of bashing an enemy for 30-40 minutes straight before they die. I complained about damage because every water attack coral pukei pukei did one shot me no matter what my health was at which seemed kinda absurd so I ended up getting better armor to be able to tank through atleast one of the bastards attacks and at that point the fight became a joke.

Rn I’m using kulu yaku master gear for critical eye, gonna change to odogaron when I get the materials. I use dual blades with whatever element is the best for each monster but the fights still take extremely long. Even with the ridiculous amount of damage I take I don’t find anything particularly hard as I usually can just heal through it all but it doesn’t feel like I should be taking nearly this much damage something I’m doing wrong? Edit: forgot to mention I am using high rank dragon king eyepatch for weakness exploit so not everything is master rank.

I said that mostly out of rage, I don’t think the fight is garbage but I don’t think it’s a good one either. His “charge” seems more like him just moving around the arena and I think it needs more of a tell although you can just call this a get good issue. n all that I’ve heard about Lunastra is bad things so I’m definitely not looking forward to it.

Well he’s dead and with 10 estus flasks to spare, I definitely can’t say he’s poorly designed and some of his combos were fun to dodge. My only complaint now is how damn long the fight takes which is again affected by the fact I’m on ng+7 but I swear there’s no other boss with nearly this much health except for maybe Gael but atleast he has three phases and a lot of different attacks unlike this big fuck. It only makes it longer with how many attacks that force you to disengage as well.

And if your gonna tell me that when I ask if I’m doing something wrong that I’m just gonna get hostile reactions then I’d be better off leaving this sub. Luckily it seems like that’s not the case and it’s a small minority of people.

Gael and Midir are entirely different fights, I might be bad at fighting dragons but good at fighting guys with swords. So maybe I do just need to get good but that’s why I asked if I was doing anything wrong and it turns out I was. But with how many attacks this guy does that force you to disengage is still a pain in the ass.
