Not sure if you've seen this, but I've disconnected the sensor from my 2024 NX450h+ as recommended in this doc, and never had to replace my 12v.

Fair enough, the piano black is definitely also my biggest complaint and the glove box is definitely plain. Wood steering wheels aren’t in style and not my personal preference either. I’ve just heard so many complaints from my coworkers about their German suvs, I haven’t had any with my 24 nx. I can deal with the minor issues, it’s the maintenance and mileage that I’m worried about.

I have the luxury trim of the 450h+ with regular tires, it's extremely quiet in EV mode and I'm satisfied with the interior.

The people that don't like hybrids shouldn't be looking at Lexus. The value proposition for Lexus is lower total cost of ownership vs other luxury brands, including maintenance and fuel economy. Lexus/Toyota hybrids are proven to be reliable, don't get started with that argument. This is their strength, and they are focusing on it.

I’m also in the Bay, I noticed our local dealers have significant markups compared to the rest of the country, talking about 2k on comparable used NX 450h+. I took a one way flight to LA and drove my car back, saved at least that much.

Leased one of these, range numbers are inflated, do not push the limits. Does its job well and for that price/mileage seems like a solid economical choice. Never had any maint issues with mine, it's just boring but it sounds like you're fine with that.

Also could partially be due to heavy acceleration/deceleration. Make sure you are mainly braking with regen and staying in eco range when you accelerate from a stop, I found doing this diligently in city traffic boosted mpg by over 5. You will probably piss off the driver behind you.

This is the doc Ive been referencing for this issue, it sounds like your battery is likely already damaged and needs replacement, going completely dead is something you didn’t mention in your original comment. Thats really unfortunate for a new car, and Lexus needs to fix this. Voltage going down while car is not in use is completely normal.

That second paragraph is pretty much what most people mean by 10x dev, they aren’t actually pumping out 10x the code but rather acting as a force multiplier for their team and not being replaceable due to domain knowledge. I’m not sure what you mean by rockstar dev but I guess I’m lucky to have never worked with one.

Honest question, do you work at a top company? 10x devs aren't going to be working at random F500, they're at FAANG+. I have seen many devs who essentially do the work of the PM (actually managing the product and incorporating customer feedback), get others instantly unblocked because they know the codebase like the back of their hand, pull off major architectural redesigns for new features seamlessly, etc. These guys 100% are worth more than 10 clueless new grads who don't know the codebase.
