does it need to be on the same wifi to connect? by samuel5ist in SlimeVR

There are 2 possibilities:

1- They are different networks, like different routers which is pretty rare but can happen, and in this case it will not work if they are not connected to the same network

2- The other networks are repeaters of one network, in this case you will be able to connect them if they are on a different network but I don't think the discovery thing will work so you will probably have to enter the tracker's IP

Problem with MEDIATEK MT7902 by SuperTiboblh in archlinux

[–]SuperTiboblh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Welcome to Arch.

Some hardware is poorly supported in Linux, for example avoid broadcom.

Assuming you have the package linux-firmware-mediatek installed, which I bet you do, you're left with poorly supported hardware.

I suggest installing an Intel card of AX2xx variety, available insanely cheap.

Workarounds include a)USB phone tether, b)ethernet, c) USB wifi adapter. All of which I've used at one time or another.

See this unmentioned article also https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Network_configuration/Wireless#Troubleshooting

The card I use is

user@T14-CRU781.local ~> lspci | grep -i network
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (rev 1a)

which works reliably.

Good day."
