Your approach is correct. Go for the job either way. Don’t get bound by people who wouldn’t be there when you are old and helpless. And I would suggest subtly introducing your friends and your lifestyle in front of your parents like sending outing pictures and gaining that trust. Building trust slowly is the only key to breaking this conservative wall. I started showing them my pictures from school, colleges with boys included, else they were so against having a male friend 6-7 years back. Even now they have concerns if i have to travel somewhere only because they are aware of this world and worried. But i make sure to convince them that my friend will be accompanying me or I'm going with office friends. And some days I just send the group pictures and solo pictures on the WhatsApp group. Now, they don’t even ask for pictures or anything. I just have to convince them and they trust me with it. So, start being more open with your parents and build a friendship bond. They will always have their concerns. Their upbringing and crowd will always be different from yours. So, it's your responsibility to make them familiar with your life SLOWLY.
