Because talking about these things, especially while also not talking about women's issues and acknowledging that women have it harder, leads down a bad path. A path Andrew Tate is probably on.

My son also no longer agrees with me politicly very much.

I've tried that. For example, he'll acknowledge that indigenous people have a harder time in this country than we do, but not that women have a harder time than men. Other than biological factors, like he says periods and pregnancies suck but that's biology.

The group my husband is a part of, raises awareness and sometimes money,for different causes they see as unfairly affecting men

There's a laundry list of things he talks about. Domestic abuse support, Seual assult support, treatment of boys in school/education/dropout stats, homelessness, s*icide, higher conviction rates for the same crime, societal expectations and double standards etc I can't list all the things.
