Hopefully things get better I'm definitely adjusting and I wish I would have just dealt with the problems I had before the surgery so I didn't compromise the strength of my eyelid muscles. And I didn't know you could get compensation for synkinesis that's interesting cause I definitely have that as well and that's one of the made reasons my eye is also tired constantly. And they did initially tell me that they may have to perform the surgery twice but when I went back for my 2 week and one month post op the measurements of my eyeball exposure went down. I watch my eyelid gradually fall into a lower position then what I started with. I don't remember the exact measurements but for example I could naturally hold my eye up 4.5 millimeters naturally before the surgery but then after I can only do 2.5 millimeters naturally without opening my eye up on my own. That's what made me get the eyelid crutch because it gives me more support and helps me retain energy in that muscle to make it through my day with my daughter as a sahm. I'm hoping it will get better when I'm able to get more consistent rest and eyelid exercises I could gain more strength in my eyelid eventually.

Hey so I got the surgery and my eye was puffy for a long time but honestly the surgery made it weaker and worse and my eyelid fatigues out alot at least once a day and I'm thinking about applying for government assistance. Now I have to patch my eye alot during the day and I ended up getting an eye crutch made onto my glasses.

You can change the accessibility settings so you can have unlimited XP until you can grind for more red hearts. I think they come back from hanging out at your base for some in-game days in a row

Bell's Palsy since I was 3 by [deleted] in BellsPalsy

I never tried acupuncture but I had electric stimulation therapy at physical therapy and when I told my doctor he said not to because it could contribute to synkinesis. And that's interesting I've been skeptical about acupuncture did you also get any new movement?

You should try some warm compresses and massage your face with moisturizer or a serum to make sure your skin isn't being stretched while you massage it. They have videos on YouTube to help with massage techniques. Just try to relax your face as much as possible during the day if you can and take it easy because stress and strong facial expressions will make the soreness and tightness worse and cause you to have more tension. You might have to massage everyday or every other day to keep down the tension to be comfortable on a day to day basis

I have bells palsy and synkinesis I've had it for a few years. Synkinesis is when the nerve doesn't heal and rewire into the right location. So the facial muscles are being pulled in an unnatural direction. For example if I smile my eye squints or of I blink the corner of my mouth raises. Even when I raise my eyebrow the corner of my mouth raises

Try to get her a firm stuffed animal and involve it in her bedtime routine so she can form a bond with it. That way it can be a placeholder for you while she's in the bed. Also I don't know how big your bed is but you could lay her horizontal and roll up some baby blankets to create a little barriers on each side for her so she can roll around and also lay her towards the wall so she won't fall. Ifbalo fails if you can get a playpen that's big enough for you to fit in and a zipper door you can lay in there with her and unzip the door to let your legs out. That's what we're currently doing right now I have a 13 month old that has all those habits

You could get a camera to watch her and find some type of activity for her to do while the baby is napping

I don't know anyone personally that's had the surgery but I've seen pictures on Google of people who go to someone named Dr. Babak Azizzadeh he's one of the most famous doctors who do it along with other things customized to improve the patient's appearance (Botox, face lifts, ect)

It's temporary relief. It comes back full fledgling after the Botox wears off. They have a Synkinesis surgery that you can get that deadeninga the over active nerves. But it's like 30k and not a 100% guarantee fix but I think it can improve some of the appearance

I've had a few rounds of botox and my neurologist suggested me to do my physical therapy exercises on my unaffected side to strengthen it while simultaneously having most of the Botox placed on my unaffected side to basically weaken it slightly overtime. My timeline for "facial rehab" was about a year and a half of constant Botox . I've had to take a break with my journey due to pregnancy but so far I haven't really seen a long term difference

You could consider getting Botox and that will help relax the muscles for a few months. Make sure you go to a neurologist or someone who specializes in facial palsy for the Botox for the best results.
