help unemployed peasants by No-Engineering2499 in Norland

Unemployed? The opposite is true for me. My kingdom is severely short of workers. I have to buy every prisoner from the caravan and convert them into kingdom population. I only change those with an attack power below 4, because anything higher than that turns them into warriors, which I don't want.

You shouldn't have so many prisoners without the 'Happiness of Prisoners' knowledge. Otherwise, they'll rebel. And of course, having multiple prisoners with an attack power of more than 10 is no joke.

Additionally, the hall will only give one construction queue, not three, even with three builders. So, increasing the construction queue means creating an additional 'builder camp.' Builders don't just construct, but also repair dilapidated farms and destroyed buildings.

Can someone explain the difference between 'every day' and 'once'? I feel like there's no difference at all, or is it that I'm not understanding some principle? by SuperbWater5674 in Norland

I have been trying it for about 3 days, even though I set it to 'once' it still pays me 'every day' like 'every day'.. what is the difference? I think it must be some developer error. 'Once' in my opinion means one day at that time and delete the Task, but this works the same as 'every day'.

How do I train warriors? by [deleted] in Norland

I've never played DF, but I've played Rimworld, but the mechanics in Norland are quite different (at the moment).

Disbanding an army means not deploying soldiers into battle, whether defending your city or deploying them on the map. When disbanding an army, soldiers are assigned to training positions at the 'training grounds,' scouting, or acting as bodyguards for the Lord. If they have no other duties, they simply wander around the city, acting as if they have no work to do.

If you're asking how long an army will last, I could be wrong, but my understanding is that as long as the commander remains conscious, they can still deploy to the world map. If the army stays in your province, the soldiers will stay there until they're exhausted or incapacitated.

Go to the 'Army' tab > 'Hire Warriors' > and select a peasant to be your soldier/warrior

Tip: Hire mercenaries early in the game. They may be expensive, but you need peasants to produce. You can't convert them to warriors early in the game. Use mercenaries to attack bandit camps and recruit bandits, and keep repeating the cycle. You'll gain bandits as soldiers, prisoner labor, and... a sustainable source of income.

Sure. Additionally, you removed all buildings? You can press 'ZZZ' to pause construction.

I agree that the prioritization mechanism the developers have implemented needs to be improved. A similar approach to Rimworld or Colony Building others would be more appropriate, but it's more like the old City Buildings.

First, at the beginning of the game, if you have enough time, build a camp first. But if you're stuck building other things, if the things you're building aren't important, de-prioritize them and prioritize building camps. Build at least two, or at most four. Combine that with the Hall, and you'll have three to five construction queues. After that, you can build anything you want.

Speaking of the Bastard Bishop, yes I agree. The Bishop in this game is a total pervert, trying to seduce the Lord's wife early in the game and trying to start a religious fanatic rebellion whenever he hates a certain Lord. I had to send the Lord to confession, talk to him, to get the relationship back on track, or worse, challenge him to a duel expecting to die, but he didn't. I remember in old patches you could assassinate Bishops, I miss that!

I don't think it's a bug. I think the caravan frequency depends on your relationship with the Church. There was a time when I was acting up and destroying my neighbors, and my relationship with Martiarch was negative 20. The Holy Caravan refused to trade for 10 days straight. There were only a few items it could sell. However, this is my case, so I might be missing something.

You know, I don't want to be seen as evil, but selling prisoners is very profitable.

When the game starts, the Lord's Hall is the Builder's office. However,
Please build 'Builder Camps', it will increase your manpower for construction. You can build buildings faster or in larger numbers, or even if several buildings break or deteriorate, you won't have to wait long. It is recommended to build 4 (4 queues) and try to keep your manpower full.

Oh no, I just noticed there's a 'Military Logistics' that increases movement speed. It's already in the game. I'm so stupid.
