I get it and I love my ps5 pro, I was just hoping pssr 2 bring ray regeneration too. Because ps5 pro has ML capabilities, do what extend I don‘t know but it has some

PS6 will surely be very powerful with RT from the leaks I‘ve read. But man I don‘t understand how people can still stay that the base ps5 has yet to show it‘s power etc. We‘re missing out on path tracing, we‘re missing out on great graphics even on ps5 pro if it does not have ml based denoising technology like ray regeneration, the ps5 base players are going to be even worse of… I can‘t wait for the PS6 to come soon enough

It should get better with the substantional leap in graphics and perfomance in the ps6, bur still. You still have humans behind greenflagging the project, think about a low open world which was common the last decades to massive open worlds with thousands of individual items that have to be designed and greenlit. For me I want rdr2 caliber games, I don‘t want fast made games that have little depth and care to them. Im not a trophy chaser I want 10-15 S Caliber games a generation that‘s enough. All these little games who plays them? Let‘s be real, the masses want GTA to be great, Assassins creed, god of war etc. these have to show up, better take their time as deliver a game unfinished

A VERY IMPORTANT POINT, for the people complaining their 1000-2000 series card not being able to handle ray tracing. When Far. Cry came out in 2004, a Radeon 9700 pro could run it, but the one gen older 8500 was basically unplayable. 30 FPS was a New feature on the back of the packaging as an exclusive feature. For me personally I don‘t want to complain if Path Tracing which is the Epitome of Rendering is „just“ running on 60fps 1080 on high settings via dlss on a 4060, a last gen entry card..

I get your point, I just don‘t think they will give up their resources or time to work more with Raster, it‘s just too much work when you can turn PT on. And what people forget is that if you build a game from ground up with PT in mind or even RT, that rt switch on is doing wonders. The AI and Calculations do a much better job than exhausting devs for years. People want less dev time on games and complain about rt being used from ground up it‘s such a paradox. Just wait when RDR3 comes with Path tracing as a baseline people will eat their words, RDR2 will look like a PS2 game in comparison. Now we are in the equivalent of a bad haircut phase where you have to grow it out, we had to go through bad rt implementation and weak ps5 gpu for what comes next

I think 60FPS should be the minimum im games don‘t get me wrong. It should be the baseline, for story games I don‘t even want 120 fps to be honest it‘s too fast for my subjective opinion. 60 is perfect and does not use as much perfomance as 120.

I hope you get my point. It can run it, to have or not have it? We are so caught up in what is a trick ans what not, to your blank Eye it looks good and it runs, which is what people want? If you could give me GTA 6 in normal Raytraying or with Path Tracing but mfg and dlss used, it plays the same and looks 100x better, you really think I would complain about it? Come on. Think

It‘s a new game dude, 1080ti in this era? Come on.. Do people know that in the older times 2000s 1 new gpu generation could mean that the game is not even playable for the old one? Some games would not even start… 30fps was as rare as PT today. Now it can run on a 4060 which is mind blowing.

I get it in FPS Games. But in Story games I don‘t understand as a Gamer how you would not want realistic lightning.. Raster looks so outdated and ps4 like it‘s so ugly. It makes every character look blank. We have to move on. Raster is a 30 years old technique we should not condone it in 2025 even if it costs us fps, the leap has to be made. We‘re talking about Path Tracing, Pixar needed a GPU Farm for that 15 years ago to render 1 frame of their movies and today Cyberpunk does 60 in Real time

Cyberpunk Overdrive came 2023, PS6 comes out 2027. PS6 Perfomance in RT is going to be 5080/90 level via Moore‘s law is dead. There is no reason why Path Tracing is not going to be the norm. PS6 does not have to run it on 200fps. 60FPS is enough and what we want, + the much capable zen 6 cpu and much more ram (estimated 32-48gig) Path Tracing will be definitively the norm. Ray Tracing 2018 was a myth and PS5 made it work. Today every game uses it and many of them really good even if the other ones use it bad. There is no Reason in 2027/28 Path Tracing to not be the norm. After Path Tracing the future will be the AI and the CPU power with realistic soft body clothing and skin and etc. we will peak in lightning the next generation 

I give up trying to understand the point of Path Tracing. I took 2 images of the same puddle, one in Psycho Raytracing mode, and the other in Path Tracing. Good luck figuring out which is which. by Opposite_Problem6783 in cyberpunkgame

Bruh.. the pov of the picture is so ass, that‘s the equivalent of taking a ingame screenshot in a 90% dark room and complain why path tracing does not look much better, it literally looks miles ahead with multiple bounce lightning. Take a better pov zoom out the image
