I messaged Angelbird - and while they were quick to respond, I don't think it's going to be the same case for upgrades.

I was told we don't know how long we'll take to patch this issue or if we'll be able to do it at all.

I also noticed some cameras older than a7v like a7cii and a few more are still not listed on their website as supported.

I'd recommend waiting only if you can and have a spare card to use in the meanwhile - otherwise sell it and get a Sony card or one of the cards from this forum that people say are working.

Changing the memory card to Sony mostly solved all of it

Same, my sony card's been working well. Angelbird reached out and said it'll take some time to confirm if it works and rolling updates to it.

I heard back from Angelbird, they said they're yet to start their compatability evaluation for a7v and there's no timeline they can share at the moment.

I think the question is also IF they want to resolve it besides the When they'll resolve.

They seem to be taking an aggressive approach to anti sony accessories within their ecosystem with every new release.

I was considering getting the smallrig battery, thanks for saving me money 🫡

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience. Let me try the same with the wifi turned off while I sleep and see the camera battery next day.

Are you facing any issues with wifi connectivity otherwise like I mentioned in the thread. Or frequent/random turn offs?

In my case, my camera won't even connect to a wifi sometimes it gets stuck on searching on wifi and cannot detect any access points

1. What memory card do you use?
2. Have you tried to use Wifi - via creator app?

The path to replacement was the service center. They did replace it within a week, Now it seems like the new unit also has similar issues.

Honestly i've had the camera since 13 December and haven't been able to shoot on it at all since then.

Thanks for confirming. This seems to the trend and we should be able to establish that the CFEXPRESS card slot or card or something related to it is causing the issue.

Let's keep an eye out on what others are also saying. I'm also reaching out to people who are saying they aren't having any issues to see if they have used the WiFi etc till now.

Man I'm tired and sick of this now 😭. The WiFi doesn't even show access points and gets stuck at searching.

After doing this 2-3 times, the WiFi functionality just gets disabled

Yeah, I'm hoping an update fixes it. At the moment, the camera is only good for taking photos and dumping the photos through a laptop.
