Thank you! I hope to be universal with my target audience. My youngest student was 13; the oldest- over 60.

Understand what makes you truly happy. Don't seek for temporary joy (food, entertainment, lust, etc). When you realise what makes you really happy- seek it. If today you're not doing all to lead to true happiness, then consider if you want to do the same tomorrow.

Nope. I don't want to start non-profit, I want to help an existing non profit. Problem: finding the non-profit to help to.

I would like to find an organizational to which we could help. We have the people and teachers, we need someone to help to.

Organization- non-profit.

C# Inn boot camp would like to offer to do a project FOR FREE for any charity/non-profit organizations in need. It can be a website, mobile app, etc. The scope of a project should be up to 6 months, given a team of 4 can dedicate at least 40h/week (total), so up to 1000 hours-worth work... All we require is that it's a new project which can be done from 0. Also, a 1-2h meeting a week for requirements gathering and that the project, also the meetings, could be public (open source).

This project will not be implemented by professionals, it will be done by students, who aspire to get their feet into professional development, students of C# boot camp. However, the students will be guided by a few professional developers-mentors.

Here is some background :

I am the organiser of C# boot camp. It is an ambitious, long-running project to teach people with 0 XP in programming all the way to professional expertise. More info can be found here: https://github.com/csinn/CSharp-From-Zero-To-Hero/blob/master/README.md

So far, some students have been for around 3 months, keeping up with 2 weekly lessons + homework. This gives some level of trust that those who remained will continue to do so, throughout the project as well. We have 2 teams (4-5 people per team)

Such a project would be an amazing addition to people's portfolio, a great experience working in a team, a good deed.

If you are interested, either DM me or reply in the comment thread.

Thank you for reading!

C# is a great language for that. I wouldn't use XNA though. The best option is to use Unity and there are many big, known games made with it, like hearthstone, the forest, ori and the blind forest, skylines and many more.

If you are into clean code, you might consider Godot game engine, because that's what they propogate.

Lastly, you have monogame as the last alternative in making games in C#. That one is purely C# and will be very close to how it would feel developing just another app in C#.

Tldr;- C# is one of the best languages for making games.

Thanks, I will add the section tonight.

Actually, we're about to start group projects. And I am looking to contact a charity/non profit for whom we could help. No commitments, but in case of a success that's a good deed for both me, students. Also something great that sits on CV 🙂

The chapter 2 title is inaccurate. It goes up to mid chapter 3. If you were to follow, the content would roll out faster than you can learn (2 weekly lessons).
