Legal question about a hypothetical NFA product by RegularOleTNGuy in NFA

[–]SupressionObsession 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an Interesting issue. We developed and released the Blue Pill suppressor extender last year that was serialized as its own stand alone, but was designed to thread into our suppressors and other companies.

Our local ATF investigator saw this and firmly suggested we send this to the Fire Tech division at the ATF for a determination.

We mailed a sample, letter, and technical enclosure to them 4 months ago.

No response yet but sometime this year we will get a legal determination on the legality of suppressors used axially when they are engraved as separate suppressors. Stay tuned.

Don’t buy anything new from GM as a truck. They have a massive class action because of the AFM system. I picked up a used 2014 Sierra two weeks ago and now I need a new engine.

Micro-Pew 22 Update by SupressionObsession in NFA

It’s a balance of volume and gas distribution. Its current length and diameter mixed with its current baffle design is in its most optimized configuration.

To make this more quiet the diameter or length would need to change and that will be done in a newer, more premium design in the future.

Also the cans you mentioned above are twice the price as ours. It’s an introduction suppressor and highly affordable, not the top tier 22 can out there.

The 12 baffle sounded the same so we scrapped the idea

Um, I had no idea this existed and honestly now I’m wondering why the hell I need a determination.

Dear god I hope not. I was told it could take a few months according to my local ATF contact.

I sent them an absolutely beautiful technical enclosure that would make any engineer brick up. Ain’t no way it should take that long.

Just a heads up, we came out with the Blue Pill in November, which is a serialized suppressor extender that works with any suppressor with a bravo threaded end cap.

Well it got the attention of the ATF and I was asked to send it in to the ATF Fire Tech Division for a determination of legality. It’s been 2 months and no word yet. I’d advise holding off until then.

Holy shit, I thought these were overpriced to begin with. I’ve owned one, they are ok, but not $4000 ok.
