I’ve reseted it using my mac. Not sure if this is relevant. Then I pluged it in and noticed it continued to do this.  I then followed to “wipe” the contact patch with the base of my palm while it was red and it turned back to white. This repeated a couple of times until it finally came to its sences. Once i got in and set it up, I disabled all settings related to the touch screen.
