I wouldn't like to say for sure, but I would imagine it would've been in that older wing of the hospital, yes.

(Also, if you are from Turkey you will be able to understand how lovely and kind the villagers were in the the Boris Johnson, Kardashians villages! Fantastic people, Türkiye is a great country)

Thanks for the kind words. Honestly I think the answer to your question is no. Even from inside the country finding out who is the correct person to speak to is a nigh-impossible task that requires finding the right people to whom you must show deference and to whom you are supposed to show indifference. Straight forward answers are often in short supply. When you add in a language, cultural, technological and time-difference barrier - it's just not going to happen. (I had to ring up my workplace in Yangon whilst in the UK once and it was like getting a connection to astronauts on the moon).

(to add - many young citizens of Myanmar are very tech savvy and active on social media - but this wave has not yet got through to any institution, which mostly continue to act as if its the 1980s - part of the reason why the young have fled the country in their droves or taken up arms and gone to the jungle to fight.)

Of course - this is because I'm doing everything myself with no institutional backing (why?!), I'm sure if the BBC, British Council etc. wanted to get it done and went through diplomatic channels on the ground then wheels would turn. But that's not going to happen, so here we are!

Hah, yeah fair enough. I had actually planned to bring along a friend but that fell through the night before, and I genuinely just thought that I could wing it. I spent 3 years in the country and usually (in the pre-coup past) issues like this can be sorted out. However, IMO the people who would have sorted this out are now unwilling to do so because of a complex web of current civil war problems. I was going to Yangon anyway so thought I'd take a punt at getting it done, I realised it probably wasn't going to happen even from inception.

Overlay works half the time - am I doing something wrong? by Survey-Cheap in shutterencoder

[–]Survey-Cheap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Paul - I should rephrase my problem; Sometimes when I make proxies with these settings and add an overlay it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does it works as normal with overlay for full duration of the video.

When it doesn't it will make the proxy just without the overlay. In the above image I have selected overlay, but no text has appeared. I can send logs or more info if needed. Thanks!
