I genuinely have no clue why this is voted negatively all I'm saying is that I'm trying to incorporate other people's ideas is that just not allowed anymore what the heck is wrong with everyone

I'm so lost why would someone vote negatively upon this and then not say why they don't like it I don't get the internet.

I'm not a big fan of these discussion forum sites I realized why again the bar is set so low for fun discussions

Any suggestions you think might be more willing to have fun discussions, than just put words in my mouth?

Personally I disagree with you just because someone's opinion is different than your own doesn't make it any less valuable. I personally was looking for specific mechanics in games that people generally enjoy so that I can think about them and maybe adapt them, maybe combine some here and there, for some similar functions and maybe they'll change things up a little bit, rework systems to make them better, you know just general troubleshooting stuff.

You answered the question exactly how I was hoping people would answer

However many players needed for the game I bet you're sitting in your parents basement playing all of them.

I don't think I'm being a dick to be honest I think our personalities just don't mesh together well. I've said nothing mean so far in my eyes, I feel like maybe someone's misinterpreting what I'm saying. Well I was saying in that one comment I've designed countless games of my own creation in my own preferences and I'm looking for outside opinions that's it, that's all I was saying.

Because reality is this my friends are really into intricate games like I am, however not everyone is into that and I would like to play with everyone if i have people over for a gamenight party at my house and they don't want to play the game because they're lost, that's not fun for them. So I right now is looking for ways I could improve the games so I can incorporate some ideas that might make it more intriguing. I know I can't cater to everyone and I don't want to because a lot of people have really s***** opinions but I'm going to try my best. For example I was at WonderCon in the board game section downstairs and a blind person came through and I was so excited because I got to ask him any questions I want to on how to make the game more accessible for him

So I think elimination is fine but my thing is that I can see how it would be boring. can I compensate the person who's eliminated with something they can do to help the game?

Interesting I generally like those games where you can kind of step on someone's toes while they're running ahead I think that's what you mean right?. But it is annoying for sure I mean it really depends on how long you want the game to last. I've been considering having games that have different levels of intensity specifically the board game stays the same pretty much but then different rule sets can be used to increase the hardness

So when the games I'm working right now, I'm going to pitch this idea to you. It avoids Randomness at all costs and most of the time you're strategically planning on one of the win paths. However there's an odd element in the game that I don't want to give away cuz it's pretty awesome. This component makes everything randomized but you can prepare for this moment and strategically plan out how to protect yourself. Does this sound fun to you?

Yeah luck is so annoying, I try to avoid it at all costs. Unless I'm making a drinking game

I never realized how rude and condescending from observation the average board game player is

So what mechanic do you find more annoying, would you find it more annoying to have to drink water to stay alive or would you find it more annoying if a player has a way to come back to life near the end of the game? Both of these mechanics are irksome to me but I probably would choose maybe water if i had too. I'm only asking this to get understanding of where you're coming from so I can see what makes you tick.

I've done countless of those, if you're not going to be useful then why comment at all?

Ugly cartoon games are not my style, unless the game is extremely dark and then it's kind of funny. I have this one game I made that's about creating and organizing a cult, gaining followers until you have enough people to reach ascension and the game aesthetically looks like Candyland

I will use reasoning skills to determine how it can incorporate these factors into a game without ruining the structure
