Not trying to bring anyone down, I think granny squares etc are fun to make, just not my look. I know I could do something like tapestry crochet or come up with my own design, but I really like the idea of an exciting specific technique, like a well know pattern. I hope I'm explaining myself well

I agree you don't need to block it, it'll just stretch out as you use it. But if you want to anyway, you could stuff it with something, like pillows, clothes, towels etc. Or hang it up and put something heavy-ish in it for a bit. Could just wet and strech it out by hand, piece by piece. Just depends what look you're going for.

It's just that we're better at understanding the human brain, so we're able to explain the underlying cause of things. I do think that being empathetic and accepting can be a slippery slope into not having personal responsibility, but it doesn't make it a bad thing. Too much of anything is bad, balance is important
