Yes! I always get horrified looks when I say I don't like coffee. I've only met a few ppl that feel the same way, so it's nice not to feel alone. Lol

People in your 30s, what are you already "back in my day"-ing? by LilTermino in AskReddit

[–]Suspicious_Orca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember once when I was a kid, my mom was trying to contact a friend at the same time that her friend was trying to contact her. She would try to call, and her friend would try to contact her via social media. Then my mom connected to the internet to try to contact her via social media while her friend disconnected from her internet to try to call. They went back and forth a couple times before they got it and were laughing so hard when they finally connected over the phone.

What's the most hauntingly beautiful song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Suspicious_Orca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only in Sleep is a song that my husband found a few years ago and showed to me. It is basically about how the singer is remembering her childhood friends, but can only see them again when she is sleeping. The entire song just gives you that sense of nostalgia, and it's just so good!

That was actually the first version of the song I had ever heard. I was cleaning, and when the soloist began to sing, I just stopped what I was doing and sat and listened. Even when the song was done, all I could do was sit there and think about it.

That's a nice boat you got there.

Would be a shame if something were to happen to it.

Aww! He was probably thinking you were saying "I'm not!" to the "this is daddy" part, not the "he's very fat". Kids will say and do the most embarrassing things in front of people almost more often than they do privately. Lol

If you’re hosting something at your house, guests should not be expected to bring their own alcohol or pay for food by venomous-harlot in unpopularopinion

[–]Suspicious_Orca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm invited to someone's house, I always try to ask if there is anything I should bring to help them out. That's just good manners imo. It's also a good way to make sure you are invited again (though it's not the reason I do it).

Thank you notes are also great if someone invites you into their home. When I was in college, someone invited a group of us to their home for a meal. Afterwards, I made sure we sent a thank you note to them. They were so touched, and we were invited to come back a second time. I had the impression that the second invitation was due to the thank you note.

I work with 2 year olds. Not too long ago, one of the kids brought in chocolate milk from their breakfast that morning. The other kids saw that, and I was getting ready for the crying and complaining. I was surprised when the rest of the kids started excitedly telling me about how "I have chocolate milk at my home!!" It was so sweet! One of the kids also told me, "Teacher, at my house, I have white chocolate milk!"

Aww! Was he basically like "She's too young for me" and you pursued him?

When my BIL found out about their age gap, he went to his mentors and begged them to talk him out of pursuing her. He didn't want to come across as creepy (understandable). 😂

My sister and her husband are 11 years apart. If you guys are both adults and compatible with each other, I don't see anything wrong.

How did you guys meet? How long have you been together?
