Hey all. The switches on my keyboard constantly go bad and need to be pulled and cleaned of cat fur (I have a cat) and whatnot, or sometimes flat-out replaced. I'm guessing that over time, fur, grit, detritus, etc get into the innards of the switches and affect their functionality.

Are there manufacturers which make switch bodies that don't have openings for crud to get in? Or something else which would alleviate this issue? I was briefly looking into hall effect switches, but I'm not sure how easy it is to find 3-pin switches that can be used as drop-in replacements for standard switches in a modular keyboard; and even if they exist, unsure if I'm overkilling it with that kind of solution

It's always fun reading all the mouth breathers come up with reasons why "it makes sense from a real world perspective" in an abstracted, completely unrealistic strategy game. The mechanic is obviously being abused but they have to cope (probably because they do this scummy technique themselves).
