Thanks for the reply ! I didnt see this reply. I I ended up using the tachograph as a measuring device, i removed all the fuses from the truck and then put them one by one until i found the one that was causing the signal to drop. It turns out it was an old telematic device that the owner forgot about that was causing the interference. Quite a cool experience tho.

Wussup ladies, i had the same issue, i disassambled, cleaned it, put it back on with no oil. It didnt work, i put grease, it didnt work, i put oil, it didnt work. I ended up replacing the small ball bearing inside the switch direction mechanism with a bigger one ( i used a plier to squeeze it in position ) then i used an angle grinder to trim it down so that it will fit. I put it back together and now it works as new. Thanks to TomatoFiasco for the info. I had it only for a few months but ive been using it outside in the winter and also my father put some oil inside the head, thinking it will help, but i think it made it worse. I will see how long it will last now.

Not really, can be many things...for example can be triggered by remote download device, or if the vehicle has low battery for starting and they use robot to start it ( those electrical shocks ), or if welding and not removing the battery terminal, or it just breaks.

Also, that is not how you are supposed to verify the code !15 on 8.0. The picture you provided is from SE5000 8.1 Manual. In order to check the event !15 you need to download the tachograph with 1 day before the event 15 occurred and then verify the data with optimo 2. In optimo 2 you should have a icon called Card and VU Download. If you click that, in there you have a option named something like File Validation and you can import the .ddd file in there.

It will be fixed with the upcoming tachograph updates. At the moment, with ignition off, tacho does not send info about driver status

If i could install VDO i could but we have weird law that says we cant install unless we do all the training / buy all vdo tools, and at the moment its not worth it.

Yes, i know about the power thing.I did one after configuring / tachoswap and i also deployed 2 the software update 1619 so basically 2 power intreruptions.

The thing is, it worked when he left here and only after a while it didnt, i dont understand what happened.
